To be fair to Darkness, RPG tanks are meant to hold aggro, not deal damage. So in theory, as long as she held aggro, it doesn't matter if she could hit things or not.

Of course, this all goes out the window if this world is set up like current WoW (devs want everyone to contribute to the damage, even if only half as much as a dedicated damage dealer) or vanilla WoW (tanks apply debuffs by hitting in order to let damage dealers do more damage).

We already know Megumin is a failure in the town of beginning right from season one because her spell is overkill, useless in dungeon and literally a one shot wonder.
Tell me which party she was actually successful in and not your theory.

It happens in Book 6, so I'm blocked from details. And you can call her participation in Episode 10 a party, albeit a large one. On the other hand, if you have other attackers or mages in your team, once you forego the idea she has to be a regular mage, you can just place her one shot in places where it counts.

I think the problem isn't so much she doesn't do any damage, but that she can't attract aggro. She'd need to actually hit the monsters to do that. Or maybe have some special skill she lacks for one reason or another. There's no point in being tough if monsters can and will safely walk around her.

A monk is a martial artist. They're not even all that religious. (Depending on the system.)

A cleric can see plenty of close combat, he just uses blunt weapons.

Why does it matter? because her stupidity is already maxed out and she won't get smarter. She's like a blessing and a curse.

In fairness to Aqua, the giant frogs have been pretty much established to be immune to everything but slashing weapons (a lance or something similar should also work, but no arrows or blunt weapons) or offensive spells. This is why Kazuma has been so adept at killing them, is because he has a sword, not because of any particular ability of his.

Actually, I think I heard somewhere that it's considered crass among the gods to use your own name as the name of your faith. I do know Eris has gotten some flak for her "arrogant" tendency to have things named after her. Aqua had a few words to say about her getting the currency named for her.

Episode 9:

Finally, they actually got some onsen into this season after all the teases. There's less censorship than I had thought.

Seems that the Axis group is still on Kazuma's mind. Pretty funny episode. The way that Kazuma got smacked from the girl's side (by Darkness) was priceless LOL. Aqua is still causing trouble as usual.

Seem to be rushing things here and I don't recall that ending scene from the LN. Otherwise another episode that had me laughing the entire time.

I question if they can still fit the remains of vol 4 into the last ep, though I seem to be overlapping the Explosion chapter into this one in my head.

I would guess that IF we get season 3 that the epilogue for vol 4 will be animated otherwise I guess probably not.

It seemed weird that Megumin wasn't casting explosion. So they must have just skipped that, I guess. Also, I don't think the holy incantation "Eris pads her chest" will help me lead a life without temptation.

Yeah, I won't go into details but they skipped that part. It's to bad, it was a funny scene.

Her haircut looked very similar to Megumin. Is that just a coincidence or could there be more to it? Also who was that human guy she talked to? Another general of the demon's army? Poor guy nearly lost his wits in that town full of crazy believers who funnily wouldn't believe their own goddess and rather want to burn her as a witch. xD

There is little doubt that pretty lady and her friend who is currently losing his mind are Demons. Not sure they're the ones poisoning the water though, as Demons have been surprisingly nice until now.
