Gaist Crusher.
capcom-reveals-gaist-crusher-anime-game-manga-for-kids I didn`t see anything about it, even if the news is two months old. Four 13-14 years old boys in Gaist gears fighting giant metalic monsters ? It looks like Capcom is mixing Megaman with Saint Seiya or something. But I have to say I like the design of some of those "Gaist" creatures, especially the achlis.

Kawamori Shouji's project "The Fool" is chugging along: they've updated the official website with world, story and character info, character art & key visuals, and the taglines. They're also holding auditions for some minor-ish female roles. The music will be composed by Yoshimata Ryou (his only anime credit is Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Children, but he has a bunch of high-profile TV dramas and such under his belt).
The main cast: Oda Nobunaga: Miyano Mamoru (......ehh /personal opinion) Akechi Mitsuhide: Sakurai Takahiro Jeanne Kaguya d'Arc: Hisaka Youko Characters with no seiyuu yet: Ichihime (Nobunaga's sister, better known as Oichi) Toyotomi Hideyoshi Leonardo da Vinci Gou, Chacha, Hatsu (historically Ichi's daughters, Nobunaga's nieces) And there will be robots, and the one in the art reminds me of the mechs in Gankutsuou. Actually, the whole anime project seems like something good old GONZO would've done back in the mid-'00s. If the visuals are interesting enough (they're certainly very pretty so far), and they don't get too pretentious, this will be awesome. (By the way the animation is handled by Satelight. Of couse.) I'm a Kazuki Yone fan so no complaints on the designs, it's in her usual style. Really curious about this.

Apparently in the live project the characters will be played by actors, but if I understand it correctly the voices will be still provided by the seiyuu (don't ask how that's supposed to work), and the musical score will be played by a live band. (Btw, looking at some of the art... doujinka, start your engines. xD) Last edited by kuromitsu; 2013-07-01 at 13:48. |

^Thanks for the info! I hope we can see some of this, maybe they release it (or at least just the animation) in DVD/BD because it sounds really crazy.
I'm still waiting for the movie or anime of GACKT x CLAMP collaboration which was supposed to be in the works after the stage play so I don't want the Fool project to follow the same path.

I can't believe they're not going to release a DVD/BD of the whole show, and I'm cautiously hyped about it. If there's someone who can pull a crazy idea like this off, it's Kawamori (and his stash of good stuff).
(Also, since this is an anime x live action thing, I guess they can pretty much only release the whole thing as it is.) Last edited by kuromitsu; 2013-07-01 at 15:32. |
