The big reason behind most of the conflicts after Char's Counterattack were spacenoids rebelling against the Federation. If the Federation and Neo-Zeon are able to come to even partially amicable terms its possible these rebellions could be prevented from forming.

That's what I thought too. I noticed it seems to have a lot more data screens that other Neo-Zeon MS.

Duh. It was the unnamed protype for Unicorn. Stolen by Neo Zeon remnants in 0094 and outfitted into it's current appearance and christened the Sinanju.

I'm aware that it was the prototype for the Unicorn; I just expected less screens.

I see. Correct me if I'm wrong though, but what happens in Unicorn is only known to a handful of people right? It is not a wide-scale-public-conflict. Not everyone gets to know the reason behind the Laplace box.

So wouldn't that mean within 60 years it isn't surprising that someone out there who thinks Spacenoids are being mistreated would want to overthrow the Feds again. To me at least, it seems like its too far apart to affect each other.

We don't know it will stay like that though.

Let's take the real world example of 9/11. Does anyone still cares about that incident with the American public calling for withdrawal of US troops ? Likewise for UC. 60 years is enough for people to forget certain events.

"Spacenoids rebelling" were not the "biggest reason" behind the conflicts. They basically WERE the conflicts themselves. However, the reason they rebelled have nothing to do with Zeon and Zeon-era ideology. Crossbone Vanguard rebelled because of Meitzer Ronah's belief in Cosmo Babylonia (a haven for the high born), and they weren't even interested in attacking Earth until a crazed Iron Mask went behind his back and unleashed the "Bugs". Zanscare rebelled because of a theocratic government trying to convert the world to Mariaism (some kind of cult-like belief in Matriarchal society), and then went crazy trying to turn everyone into mental retards.

Except for maybe the Mars Zeon from F90, none of the later UC conflicts involve ANYONE that were involved with Zeon or Neo Zeon. And none of them were really about earthnoids vs spacenoids, but more about groups of radicals vs the established EF government.

And EF and Zeon making peace WAS part of canon. The Zeon Republic (remnants of the Principality) was absorbed into the EF on UC0100, 4 years after the Laplace conflict, and that just about spelled the end of the Zeon movement

Enough argument about cause and effect for now. Let's talk about the OVA releases.

From the perviews of OVA 3, it's obvious that whoever architected the episodes tends to place the climax of the novels at the begining of a new episodes.

I was actually looking forward to episode 2 to see how they would go about treading Marida's background and now my anticipation had been dampen somewhat. But at least I don't have to wait too long for that.

I was noting the cool-looking seat and big Neo-Zeon(?) logo on the control panel but you're right about the data screens.

Videos are not supported in my region for some odd reason even though I have a Japanese/American/Hong Kong PSN account. I can't find any movies on it even if I set view videos in my system settings.

Apparently though 4chan says they're all up and all you need to do is search Gundam and it'll pop up. It's definitely up on the Japanese PSN right now because you can find it on their actual website.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong since I never use the video function on my PS3, in fact I'd like some help too if someone can point out why I can't see movies.

Hong Kong right now, but I clearly remember being able to access the movie store when I was in the states earlier this year....so....no idea. Tell me how it goes.

Its on the US PSN now...

Keep in mind that for movies and TV shows, just having an Japanese/US/whatever account won't be enough. You need to actually be in the country or proxy in from a server in that country.

Games and demos are the only things that a foreign account can get you.
