Nui is revealed to be a similar being to Ryuuko where she was born out of Life Fiber instead of Ragyo.

Actually the scene with Ryuuko actually happily living with her mother kind of made me go D'awwww somewhat. If only that kind of life was real where she did live a more happy life with her family instead of being alone Would only be possible if Ragyo wasn't a corrupt bitch...

Then Ryuuko becomes brainwashed and becomes evil O___O;;

I guess in the end, Satsuki will continue on using Bakuzan even though it became a dual wield blade. Would be more epic if she starts using Nui's scissor blade after it is taken back by Ryuuko.

My god this woman and Nui to use Junketsu for a 'brainwashing' ... on Ryouko and satsuki is now reverse kamui puts each other. So yes a new epic battle will start and I hope that thanks to this fight will succeed Satsuki has to take these mind Ryouko ...

Satsuki running around naked and killing life fibers left and right using her toe nail was beyond awesome, and just when I thought this episode couldn't get any better, we get Senketsu Satsuki versus Junketsu Ryuuko! The happening is over the charts!!

I don't expect Ryuuko to stay brainwashed for long. She'll probably break out of it next week. I want a touching scene with the two sisters. Satsuki needs to give her some love (familial love is something Ryuuko seems to crave) because her mother sure as hell won't. I hope Mako will do something too. Her speech didn't work this time, she needs to step her game up. The glimpse of what Ryuuko's life could have been if her mother wasn't a crazy bitch was pretty sad. I want to see Ragyo dead more than ever.

We finally found out what Nui is, she's another experiment of Ragyo to fuse life fibers and humans. Not really surprising. If she was brought up by Ragyo, then it's no wonder she's so twisted.

So...if Nui is another Life Fibre Monster who can wave her own heart about, why did her eye not regenerate? I was thinking the sword scissors' ability to cut fibres but after being chopped to bits at the start then stabbed through the chest it's not making much sense?

maybe the core of her life fibre is in her eye and that is why it has not healed.

Or it is possible the life fiber has to stay connected to the organ or body part, so maybe when Isshin had cut her eye out, that connection was severed at the time and could not regenerate. Another possibility is that it was because the Scissors Blade at the time was whole.

Maybe Life Fibers can emulate only some human cells, and eye is not something they can reconstruct?

The most unexpected thing for this series was that Ryuuko becoming totally brainwashed and becoming evil, and Satsuki and her switching their Kamui lol.

Also, is it just me or it seems the thing Ragyo and the COVERS are building looks like a rocket?

And... that scene where Junketsu was being forcefully put on Ryuuko looked totally a rape scene from a doujinshi or something...

Seriously though, the scene where Ryuuko's "happiness" was being shown, when Ryuuko was all "Yes Mother!~ AHHHH~~~" Totally didn't fit Ryuuko's character at all!!! It felt funny and weird LOL

So Ryuko's going through her "I'm a monster" phase right now. Not really the most highly looked upon trope but I guess it won't last very long, and the current Junketsu brainwashing is kind of cutting into it.

Though since Junketsu looks rather different being worn by Ryuko after transformation, I wonder if Senketsu Satsuki will have a different look as well?

Good to get some confirmation on Nui's origins too. She's essentially a living doll made of pure Life Fibers just like a lot of folk predicted.~


On another note though, a lot of the cost-cutting tricks in the animation were pretty noticeable this episode. It's too bad Trigger couldn't have a larger budget for this series, but I guess they're doing fine for what they have. A newer studio has that disadvantage after all.

Now that I think about it, the scene where Ryuuko was flying towards the S.S. Naked Sun looked like more higher animation quality than before. I guess they focused a bit more budget on those last few scenes.

Talk about "escalating quickly." This show loves that. I know we are supposed to feel bad for Ryuko for her internal crisis but she keeps getting worse. It would also help if Senketsu had been more direct with her. Nevertheless, the episode was awesome. A lot of good characterization. Loved Gamagori becoming even bigger and the Devas's characterization whenever Satsuki was concerned. Satsuki is also stealing the show damn.

On Episode 18, Ryuuko seemed to have gone positive way in development but after her origins were revealed, that totally dropped whole and now she has gone a negative route for sure. I wonder how Satsuki will handle Ryuuko.

Seriously this series is getting more and more epic as time goes.

Really makes me remember how Gurren Lagann went. Gives me the same kind of feeling. XD

Dammmmmmmmmmn Ryuuko......... But something tells me that she'll wind up back to her old self somehow in no time.

I think Satsuki though just stole this series completely.
