Also Sulfur Pot seems to really be in league with Dusk Taker and whatever group he's connected to their goal if I had to guess seems to be classic world domination and we all know how that works out... Oh did anyone else catch the glimps of the real life Crimson Kingbolt when the girls where saying good bye dude looked way cooler then he did in Brain Burst.

I think this is confirmation of what happens to a player when they lose their Burst. It becomes a Midsummer Night's Dream. Which is great because we're not told any of this, but shown, in an awesome episode with mermaids, mecha and magical girls. WHEN WILL YOU EVER SAY THOSE THREE IN THE SAME SENTENCE, EVER?! In that light, we can only speculate what Megumi ever wanted to talk apart. Perhaps it was deja vu, or a feeling that everything that Hime was talking about, sounded familiar to her. Or maybe she just wanted to confess that she was a big game player way back when, so that she'd understand if Hime was enthralled with the digital world she's indulging in to the point of forgetting about Megumi. But I really don't think she'd be anywhere close to confessing about being a Burster.

True enough. She won't be confessing about that.

Again, the anime has not stated that losing Brain Burst causes a loss in memory. If anything, Megumi seemed like she was going to confess in the previous episode "something". At this point, we still are not sure if Megumi still has Brain Burst or not, or if her memory of Brain Burst exists are not. The only confirmation we have is that her experience for this one "shaman" time felt like a dream to her.

Oh and I forgot to mention that time in brain burst is much faster than in the real world yet Megumi took her sweet time and still dive in to do her thing in time.
Well yeah this is just a side story but this kind of inconsistency really drags the down the anime as a whole IMO.

Its more probable that the avatar when the player is defeated, becomes an independent lifeform, like an AI spawned from the corpse of a dead player. Like a Evangelion 'gone berserk' when the pilot is incapacitated.
Spoiler for SPOILER:

I unfortunately did read some novel spoilers so I'm waiting down until that NTR business is over. However as it seems 5-6 eps have passed and they still didn't resolve it. Still don't forget that what she does is as NTR as it can get (in an anime that sex is non existent that is), and she should get as much bashing as possible no matter what her "Excuse" will be later. Which I know what it will be.

First of all, let's stop being provocative and calling it "NTR". It's just an apparent betrayal in the game, where the reasons are not yet explained. There is no relationship angle in this; it's a tactical decision. Just because she supports "the enemy" in one fight doesn't mean she's cheating on her boyfriend. That's just a wholly stupid assumption. So no, it is not "as NTR as it can get", nor is it NTR at all. You (and others) are just abusing the term. And that aside, I don't even know why this being discussed in this episode thread, given that it wasn't featured in this episode anyway.

As for her cheating. You know she left 2 childhood friends, who she considers one of most important people in her life (probably after her close family). One of that person is her *love* while the other is her current boyfriend. I don't want to get into spoilers territory, but what she does and how she treats them should be frowned upon, and frankly I'm happy people don't take Bullshit thrown at their faces. Now we can assume without any knowledge that she will be forgiven in the future probably without any problems whatsoever (that is if she returns to them), and no she shouldn't be forgiven easily. Once you betray someone its easier to repeat it. However in this series people tend to forgive no problems especially the H.T.C trio. Ohh and why did people brought this issue into this ep thread. I don't know maybe because it was blatant cliffhanger and this ep just went into some shitty sidestory while people are left wondering wth is going at main stage.

This NTR crap is like the most serious business to grace plague anime culture in a while and just about the stupidest thing ever as far as I'm concerned. Like holy shit it feels like almost any time a female character does anything not on the level she's a cheatin' NTR whore and needs to be completely buried. It's like one of those rare double standards that exist solely for female characters now.
Frankly as far as I'm concerned NTR is just another thing that angry fanboys invented so that they can have another easy angle from which to bash a character/show on. Quote:
You have no idea for how long I've totally felt this way. Actual Wit and communication>quoting some meme you heard on the internet, but sadly a lot of people don't seem to think so anymore. |
