I thought the conference was good, despite the lack of major exclusive announcements from Sony's own studios.

They probably felt the need to reaffirm that though, seeing that they dedicated an entire segment talking about their own studios are working on PS4 titles coming soon.

But it seems I didn't miss much aside from PS4 in mid Nov and not late Oct, as well as Vita price drop...

Probably because all the hype prior to the show, but I just feel kinda disappointed. Or it could be my taste doesn't meet what they are showing.

Only new thing that looks really interesting is RIME, that ICO 2.0 game.

My expectations of the show got killed by MS's poor announcements and the painful, painful EA conference, so I really enjoyed Sony's, despite.

TBH Sony picture need some movie franchise in order to fight other big hollywood studio

I'm really hoping some more Japanese games are announced @ TGS that can make this year, the PS4 launch lineup isn't as strong as the Xbone one due to exclusives. And to be honest both set of exclusives aren't all that, but Xbone's is def ahead of Killzone/Driveclub/Knack/Resogun.

They are both very strong lineups if you include the 3rd party crossgen titles, really, really strong if you look @ them in vacuum, not so strong if you go "I can play this on PS3/360/PC". But if you want superior (well it should be) versions of crossgen games, or you're trading in your old console the launch is strong.

While MS are starting out stronger in exclusives, we all know that Sony will get the ball rolling eventually, I'm expecting Naughty Dog and SSM to announce PS4 games @ VGAs for instance. The wildcard is the new MSG studios*, as well as how much MS are willing to spend on more Titan Falls.

Anyway, people are really looking forward to The Last Guardian because they enjoyed ICO and Shadow of the Colossus so much, which are games by the same team. They are the kind of game that need to be played to 'get' them.

What is that VGA everyone is talking about? Is it a kind of event like E3?

It's the Spike Video Game Awards, a lot of big games get announced during it. in 2011 for instance The Last of Us and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance were shown off. Last year Dark Souls II was announced. IIRC Uncharted 3 was also announced @ the VGAs so it's kinda the launching point for Naught Dog titles atm, and most people expect whatever the Uncharted 3 team have been working on to be revealed.

SSM are probably going to show up here with what the God of War 3 team is doing for PS4.

If there is another God of War, I hope it a game continuing after God of War 3. No prequels, just make all the evils in Pandora boxes actual identities.

It does indeed look like rubber, hopefully it is not and is made of better materials. If anything, I just hope the controller isn't as slick as the PS3 controller, after one hour playing you must use a paper towel to dry the controller and wash your hands and dry to play normally.
