Promos have been looking great so far. Looking forward to this one. Probably the only anime from this summer I'll follow.

Are those office ladies in the show too? If so, I like it. Them ladies have unique & distinctive faces which might not be pretty for some, but somehow it makes them look & feel more realistic as actual individuals, not just a bland group of girls with generic pretty faces.

Many of us did. But apparently, no one care enough to report it to the mods .

Bridge bunnies taking a new recruit for a night of debauchery? It's like my Robotech fanfic come true.

Other than the redhead, most of them look like they're mid-30s at most, and a couple are probably in their 20s.

Looks very promising. Looking at that picture of the Mecha cleaning team gives me Gargantia vibes. I wonder if Gen is gonna go butcher-mode here. Oh wait, there's gonna be war right? No need to wonder than, I suppose.

Is this that series that Urobutcher said that was going to be better than any Gundam?

Also oh god the dreaded A-1, but I'm still having hopes of it being good since its a mecha and Urobutcher is in charge. Mecha series have been pretty disappointing since GBF ended. Only good ones are Captain Earth and Sidonia no Kishi.

The question is: Where on the scale of 'Suisei no Gargantia' to 'Madoka Magica' will this series be?

I feel there's a tendency to presume that everything Urobuchi writes is dark and gritty, despite the fact that he's demonstrated that he can also do light and fluffy very well. This might be a very airy, light-hearted, fun series.

^ But wasn't Suisei no Gargantia supposed to be getting a second season or something?

I don't remember reading anywhere that he said something to that effect.

Does it make a difference if it is or not?

I was under the impression that some producer or executive at A-1 had said something to the effect that they were trying to create a Mecha series through CG that could surpass Gundam. Urobuchi has never said anything like that.

I'm getting the sense that Urobuchi's position on this show isn't that much different from Gargantia, in that he's involved with the development of the initial concept/premise, the setting, maybe the tone, and potentially some of the writing but otherwise isn't doing that much and is partially being used for name recognition.

That said, it seems like there pushing the feel of a dark and gritty real-robot Mecha anime so much that you'd think he definitely had a big hand in things .

I don't mean to be offensive at all when asking this, but are we sure that the top left one is a bridge bunny? My trap sensor refuses to allow me to believe so until the anime starts...

Shipping in a Gen Urobuchi show is a dangerous thing to do...
