We got RGthreeeeee'd...Jesus Christ that kid is sick..Andrew Luck isn't in his stratosphere in potential...

Seen this from the Saints 1-2 games every season...Was at the Dome, and we were emotionally spent before the game...It was like that Steve Gleason game vs. Houston from last year when everyone was so hype we had nothing left for the game...We got so energized by Vilma in pregame we played flatter than a pre-Christopher Columbus gift globe...But unlike the Houston game, we ran out of time once we got going...

I predicted us to go 10-6 this year...I think people who believe losing Sean Peyton (unjustifiably IMO which goes without saying, and is becoming a mainstream viewpoint now) is something that can be dealt with are crazy...It showed yesterday and it'll show more this season, but for this game I think we shat all our energy out in the pregame, then got threeeeeee'd....

We're trying to watch the Raiders - Chargers game, but my landlord (I rent my room from him) is such a chatterbox! Just non-stop talking.

At least it's all game related.

Sure did, Manning looking like the usual Manning. He was unstoppable. Thomas had a big night recieving as well. I think with all the pick ups on recieving and the already good Defense of the Broncos I think the Broncs should be having themselves a good year.

He was probably serving it up on bread to the whole team before the game.

I gotta wonder if Peyton even knows what Tapenade is.

Still. What's the replacement's excuse? Not enough reps?

I saw the Raiders game and a few things:
1 ) WTF was that OC ? How many times did you use you TE and only good WR?And dont forget you Full back?

2 ) Bring back the real Refs I mean now.
There was a clear face mask in the game that was not called.

The real Refs need to come back. I so many penalties in many games that were not called.

That and said replacement hadn't played the position in a real game since High school. But the starting Long Snapper will be back next week most likely.

Even if the real refs come back, it's going to take several weeks for them to get up to speed.

And the Raiders allowed someone like that on the roster? LoL

I'm confused, was he a backup LS or someone who plays another position normally but fills in for LS?

The latter. The whole thing was really just some kind of freak accident, I don't think that The Chargers (or any team) would've handled themselves well if they found themselves in a similar situation (Given the lack of depth common for Special Teams positions).

I could say the same thing every time Rex Grossman fumbles a snap.

And Week 1 is over. Let's see how I did:

One win over the single most overrated team in the NFL and people think The Cowboys have a shot a Super Bowl again.

IND @ CHI: Chicago (Enter the Ugliest man alive, and his baptism by fire)
And brimstone rained upon him the entire day…

Quote:
PHI @ CLE: Philadelphia (And thus begins a nightmare…)
I think we can call this "confirmed". (Though for which it's "confirmed" remains up in the air.)

Quote:
STL @ DET: St. Louis (Wild pick for the first week, for the sake of it)
And The Rams did it. That has some interesting consequences down the stretch.

Quote:
NE @ TEN: New England (A more uncomfortable win than The Patriots would've wanted)
About as I expected it, including the uncomfortableness.

Quote:
ATL @ KC: Tossup (One perpetually mediocre team, one perpetual contender, and I don't give a fuck)
The Iceman cometh?

Quote:
JAC @ MIN: Jacksonville (Yay! It's the weekly gonk special, watch B-Gabby horrible his way to victory!)
And B-Gabby lost. At least he looked he gave two shits about his job.

Quote:
WSH @ NO: Washington (Go SuperQuarterback! Destroy the geaux!)
And SuperQuartback destroyed NO on their first outing.

Quote:
BUF @ NYJ: Buffalo (It's going to be like the 2011 49ers went back to 2003 to kick the 2003 49ers asses and make fun of them)
And I was wrong, but team blowups don't happen in one night, and neither do comebacks, so I'm standing besides my predictions.

Quote:
MIA @ HOU: Houston (And the suffering finally ends for one team)
Nothing to talk about here…

Quote:
SF @ GB: Tossup (I may be a Niners fan and an Alex Smith believer, but I'll be gracious)
And people say The Niners can't offense…

Quote:
SEA @ ARI: Arizona (And thus begins a legend…)
A very dysfunctional one…

Quote:
CAR @ TB: Tampa Bay (One proves they're not completely pathetic after all, the other proves that they've still got a ways to go)
Right on the mark with this one.

Quote:
PIT @ DEN: Denver (It won't be pretty, but Peyton will get to show how awesome he is one more time)
This one too.

Quote:
CIN @ BAL: Cincinnati (We enter the final chapter of one legend, and the first chapter of another)
And The Ravens refuse to fade away once more.

Quote:
SD @ OAK: Oakland (This will be a shocker)
Y'know, besides the disaster on Special teams (They really should've stopped trying to punt on 4th down once it became clear that the backup LS was a dud.), The Raiders didn't look that bad statistically (They out gained The Chargers on offense, and preformed well on defense). All in all, what I expected (save for the loss) from The New Silver and Black. And they had fewer penalties than The Chargers.

Now, for this week:

CHI @ GB: Chicago (DABUURZ have convinced me of their prowess)

CLE @ CIN: Cincinnati (This is going to be hard for The Whites)

MIN @ IND: Minneapolis (And the Andrew Luck Humiliation Conga Express makes it's second stop)

NO @ CAR: Tossup (I don't know how this will turn out, but both teams will score a gazillion points before it's done while making Fantasy Footballers cum their pants)

HOU @ JAX: Houston (Though B-Gabby will make this surprisingly close, giving even more evidence that he can play in the NFL, and that his fuckups last year were the result of being sent in when he wasn't ready)

OAK @ MIA: Oakland (Ahh, I can smell the 1970's from here. And BTW, OAKLAND IS NOT A 4 AND 12 TEAM! Sheesh, they went 8-8 despite having no business doing so in their horrifying situation last year. They're a real contender, and should damn well be treated as such.)

ARI @ NE: Arizona (Why, BECAUSE I'M FUCKING INSANE. And because I hadn't done a batshit pick yet)

TB @ NYG: New York Giants (Rather pedestrian, but Tampa Bay might make it close and look more competent than last year)

BAL @ PHI: Baltimore (I don't care about this game)

WSH @ STL: Washington (While people will look at RGIII with even more adoration than this week after this game, it won't be a complete annihilation of The Rams.)

DAL @ SEA: Seattle (At least their Uni's are different enough at this point that they can be told apart easily enough.)

NYJ @ PIT: Pittsburgh (The rotting Taco Bell burrito says that this game will be close)

TEN @ SD: Tossup (My weekly "I don't give a fuck bowl")

DET @ SF: San Francisco (While this one will be a blowout. A big, sloppy blowout, and the first of many to come.)

DEN @ ATL: Atlanta (Just because and shit…)

I have to assume you are simply a Patriots hater. (Your pick for this week suggests that as well.) This game was a yawner after Gronkowski's touchdown near the end of the first half. Ridley ran for 125 yards on 21 carries; Brady was 23-31 for 236 yards, 2 TDs and no INTs. Tennessee gained just 20 yards on 16 rushing plays.

I wasn't uncomfortable at all.

I figured he was talking about Brady's bloody, possibly broken, nose.
