I wish I can finish chp 3 tomorrow. But by the looks of it, it would take another day for me to complete the chapter. After that, I'm out of this series.

Either way, that ending was by far a terrific and beautiful one indeed. Even though 灼眼のシャナ ended in a [for me] a tear-bringing, beautiful way, I will always remember this series as a highlight that stood out from others and also do whatever it takes to get every LN and manga, too.

Another nice thing about the novel is the author's use of the language and imagery.

Example in vol 22, there's numerous use of parallel imagery throughout. Dunno if this is intentional or not but it sure enhances the character inter-relations as well as serving as a backdrop to the larger theme of creating a new, better world in a mirror of this one.

Just read vol.22 oh my gosh it was sooooo GREAT!!!

It was hell tear-jerking ending I cried soo much

so Shana was still the one who changed Yuji's features again... heheheh
THE KISS!! YAY!!

The author made a great job creating a beautiful ending it was just epicly AMAZING

can't wait to see the ending in the anime (even though it will be hard for me on the other side to Shakugan no Shana my Fav. anime to end........)

Okay, so I haven't been catching up with this thread ever since I posted the Volume XXII spoilers, but I need to know something, after watching episode 17 of the anime:

Is Xanadu supposed to have humans, too? Yuuji talked about the Tomogara wanting to live with humans so he will create a copy of this world to accomplish that, but... somehow, this doesn't add up with what I heard so far, I thought this new world was for Tomogara only? As in, no humans allowed? Because Yoshida can't follow them, right?
And above all, does this mean there is a copy of every human in the new world as well? Or are there really none at all and I just misunderstood?

Can someone clarify this for me?

It is not stated if they are exact clones of existing people...but yes, there are humans there.

It's basically a new world that has everything in this current one, minus Misaki City

The only difference is that it's a depthless well of Existence

Spoiler for Ending: But being a sucker for the girl that epitomized the beauty of humans...I wanted to read more of her ...I just got teary when she simply saw the man she loved and her best friend fly together, remembering the past experiences with them and all. Accepting her defeat to the Flame Haze which could live a lot more beside the torch, thus being able to fight together and finally loving each other;while she, a human which hopelessly loved the man before everything started,fell behind little by little because she was a mortal who could not help much when his love entered the "World of Power of Existence" and destiny marked the way... It was too much for me, she represents that kind and beautiful woman inside that battle over the world future that stood for love. Now she is left behind, her love away,even her best friend away.Having to move forward alone after the 2 greatest battle of her life.A battle for the change of the world,a battle for the heart of a guy, but in the end, both battles fought for love. I expected some after story for her, being one of the 10 main characters(if not of the 3 though)...but it all ends, right after the first girl who made the mystes start his journey for a change, begins to live...sorry...exist again. Aaaaahhhh T_T...Yoshida ....I can´t recall how much I have cried for this character, for the hundred...or pair of hudnreds of anime/manga/novels I have enjoyed...I just simply loved this girl...who in the end, gracefully finished her journey and her part on the mission to change the world.
