Dreams, Remember them?

Ever have a cool dream, a scary dream or just plain awkward? Well lets talk aboutm

Just 5minutes ago I fell asleep when i was napping my head ache away and I have this cool/weird Tron/Highschool life where i was a new kid who got lucky in his big quiz to find out what class level he deserves to be in. So all the other kids hated me, including a girl. No matter what I did they'd still hate me, Till I got frustrated and challenged the girl to a fight and beat her fairly.

Suddenly I was the coolest kid in school and had to lead then against the other classes.

Yea, Pretty weird and cool. Hopefully me posting it won't make it go away. I want to continue this anime like dream.

I also still remember my old ninja turtle birthday party dream

You guys got any to share?

Lol. Says alot about my current state of mind that I read the title and instantly thought you were talking about the loss of innocence, death of hope, end of dreams, etcetc. In which case yeah, I remember them. But no matter. What is death, that we should fear it so? What is life, that we should cling to it so? I could go on but let's not, I don't think my heart could handle any more orz

The only late dream I remember with any detail is one in a Tim Burton style twilight world where I drove a flying carriage and fought zombies. I don't think I was even interested in zombies back then. There're some other vaguely remembered others, but.. uh.. won't talk about them. Freud you sonnavabitch.

Just last night I had a beautiful dream where I was in a peaceful secluded snowy mountain village. I must admit, I hate cold winter days but the scenery of the location made my heart and spirits very warm.

I was visiting this temple where there were monks, priests and priestesses, and worshippers everywhere and this beautiful piece of music starts playing in the background and it had me tearing up (in a good sense). I don't know how to explain it, but it felt so peaceful and heart lifting, a part of me wanted to stay there forever.

I know it sounds weird but that dream really felt amazing and comforting. I really hope I get to dream about it again.

A few years ago I read that getting into the habit of writing down your dreams upon waking up strengthens dream recall. About one year ago I stopped remembering my dreams for a period of a few months, so I started a "dream journal." I don't know if it was the journal or a change in life circumstances, but I began to recall my dreams with increasing frequency. It's gotten to the point where I rarely record my dreams anymore, only writing down those that seem to have special significance or invoked strong feelings.

Just last night. In a rainy thunderous midday... Group of 10 including me... Sheltered in a electric cable tower.... Lose soil brings the tower down... all is safe... lightning hits ground... I managed to jump with two girls before it hit the ground... all died except us... lucky?

Warhammer 40k universe, was a Space Marine fodder against Chaos Marine in a small skirmish. Definitely remember everyone began floating before I woke up.

Guess I played a little bit too much Dawn of War the night before.

I've documented a few of my dreams, while I had let many others go (i.e. not writing them down).

I've written down some of my more vivid and crazy dreams. Recent-ish examples:
- Taking a very surreal tour of a mind-warping modern art gallery, in which the building design itself is the art. May have been the result of falling asleep under a couch.
- Helping a middle-aged nurse operate in a bombed-out schoolroom on a boy with shrapnel in him. Setting reminiscent of late WW2 era, probably Germany. Rather grotesque.
- My present self meeting my mom, dad, and someone who looked like Jiang Qing in a rural house. However my parents were twenty years younger and holding my newborn self, while not really noticing my presence. Somewhat unsettling.

And one not-so-recent example:
- A motif-like scene where a teenaged version of my mom (I am a spectator in this dream) is aiming a rifle out of a trench as a shadowed Japanese soldier with a bayonet charges towards her. This is probably the weirdest dream I have because it is based on a dream that my mom herself had when she was a kid and later told me about.

Generally speaking the kinds of dreams I have are usually the kind I'd rather forget.

I have too many zombie dreams. Just the other night I had a zombie dream about escaping from a theatre in a mall filled with zombies. And it was also an escort mission. Ugh. (The fun thing about my zombie dreams is waking up right before I get eaten (I fall into some trap or a get cornered), then using my full conscious mind I develop strategies for getting out of the awful situation. Then when I finally fall back to sleep (and my dreams generally always pick right back up from where they left off), I can then use the strategies to save myself. Fun times.)

That being said, I've always liked my dreams, even the nightmares. They are fairly epic and often encompass large stories and fantastical worlds (I tend to only have story driven dreams...or at least those are the ones that I remember). I routinely have series of dreams that play out like an old movie serial as each nights dream is a progression of an overall storyline. These are especially nice when I can reach some sort of conclusion (I always wake up feeling amazingly refreshed after a dream series ends well).

Most of the dreams i remember is either a nightmare (being chased by zombie, ghost, mad dogs, truck or any beast) or wet dreams...

Have some several positive dreams, but cant remember any of it. But the good side is my mood is always good in that morning...

I don't usually remember my dreams. I only remember 2 dreams because they have quite an impact on me. I dreamed about my mother. I came home from college one day and found my grandparents who were supposed to be dead waiting for me. The house was rather bleak with curtains drawn. It was very strange. They told me that my mother was involved in an accident. Strangely, they looked composed. Then we received a phone call telling us that my mum couldn't make it. I was shocked, while my grandparents still looked composed. I can't remember much after that.

The second dream concerns me. For some reason, I was trying unsuccessfully to hail a cab at a shopping complex in the middle of the night. I think it's past midnight because it was dark and there was no one around. Then a cab appeared before me. I couldn't see much of his face. I just remember that he was wearing strange clothing that I couldn't identify. I told him my destination and he drove on. As time passed, I realized that he was heading towards a plantation. I tried to ask him but he did not reply. I then shouted over and over while he just kept driving. Since I can't remember what happens next, I guess my dream ends there.

I dislike dreams. I never dream of good things, and I am always playing the role of the tragic heroine. I can only remember these 2 dreams, but I could vaguely remember of having numerous other bad dreams.

I used to be able to remember my dreams. Now, I barely even dream (or maybe I just completely forgot each time).

Might be something about me turning to a coffee addict and routinely consuming them before going to sleep (and I go to sleep rather early...)

Well, if remembering dreams is a sign of madness, I'm mad I usually remember my dreams.

One of the most creepy ones was... 2 years ago. The setting was a street near my house. I was walking along the street with people I didn't know, but they were my friends in the dream. It was night. Anyway there was a crossroad. There were very few cars. I wanted to cross the street but the signal was red. Then, suddenly, a girl started crossing the street. She was deaf and blind. She was about to be hit by a car and I wanted to push her away, but my feet wouldn't move. Then a young man ran and pushed her out of the cars way. I felt relieved. The man took her back to my side of the street. But then she started to walk again, and... a van came out of nowhere. It was huge, like 3 times bigger than a normal one. I wanted to do something, but, again, by feet just wouldn't move! This time, the young man didn't make it in time. He was slightly hit by it and was severely injured, but the girl... She was hit... The van was really long and while it continued driving, I could see a puddle of dark red blood under it getting bigger and bigger... Eventually, all that was left was something not even similar to a body and a huge puddle of blood gushing out of it. 2 feet away from me. And all I could to was stand there and stare, I couldn't even scream. That image is still very vivid in my mind, even until this day. I'm not sure I will ever be able to forget it. I remember waking up in the middle of the night and crying for an hour after it. I turned on all the lights... Ungh, it still makes me shudder.
