Only one or two chapters left and the manga will reach the point where the anime had covered so far.

It took the anime 14 episodes to cover Arc 3 even with its rushed pacing. In LN form, Arc 4 is a little longer than Arc 3. So the new season should be 2-cours covering Arc 4 only, unless it's going to be at least 3-cours covering Arc 4-5.

Tappei stated last year that S2 would mostly just cover Arc 4 so another 2 cours is likely. Arc 5 isn't finished yet anyway.

If they are going to cover Arc 4-5 in 2 cours it will be rushed like Arc 3's adaptation. I hope it will be 3 cours at least.

It's definitely gonna be two-cours, but unless it's like 30+ eps Arc 5 won't be included.

You guys are seriously underestimating an adaptation's pacing, as usual

Don't complain when it starts getting rushed. Expect the worse or nothing at all.

I know you guys usually want as best of an adaptation as possible, but more times than not it hardly comes to happen.

There are only 4 possible ways the new season will go:

1. Arc 4 in one cour
2. Arc 4 in two cours
3. Arc 4-5 in two cours
4. Arc 4-5 in three or four cours

First option is unlikely because it took 14 episodes to cover Arc 3, and Arc 4 is even longer. Fourth option is also unlikely because I doubt the new season will be three cours or more.

It's likely to be either the second or third option. If it's the second option the pacing will be similar to Arc 1 and Arc 2 pacing, but there's also a chance the new season will be reduced to 20-22 episodes instead of the usual 24-26 episodes or it will include some parts from the side volumes. If it's the third option the pacing will be similar to Arc 3 pacing.

I prefer second option but unfortunately my best bet is third option. The new season will be released after the LN finishes covering Arc 5 after all and the first season finished airing around the same time as LN Vol 9's release.

Tappei has stated that S2 will just be Arc 4 with maybe some side-stories added. Arc 4 is 6 volumes in total with over 300 pages in each book. It's impossible to do a good adaptation of it in one cour.
