Yep, definitely my favourite show of the season. Haven't had a fluff romance anime in a while, and I hope this does well so they make more in the future.
It's definitely weird though that the thing I actually most look forward to is Rainbow Shogun. "Name me the colour of the rainbow... Nope, the colour of the rainbow is rainbow-coloured." Maybe because it has the most fluid animation of the series? That sword deflect into slash looked pretty great. XD

It's been sometime since i had fun with a show. We need some simple shows like these instead of those tryhard deep, complex, waifu pandering shows to keep out spirits calm.
The comedy was fun, we had 3 flashbacks in 1 episode (added nicely as well) and some hints of romance as well. Overall this show is becoming one of my favorites this season. Who cares about cliches if it's done well, this is a show that you sit back and enjoy without giving too much thoughts. |

Episode 4 is here.
Oh boy, I wonder if Pin-senpaii will ever realize Hina's true identity. Might happen and I look forward to it when it does. However, I will also say that Hajime is a bit creepy when he's a super fanboy for Hina. He should just be more natural! I'm also interested to know more about Alec soon. I feel like there's a romance subplot incoming about her in the future.

Not the best episode. But had a few good little moments...when the story moved away from Pin.

*Sigh* That Nyanko big episode was fun but now it's back to the supporting cast that's just as bland and uninteresting as the assumed leads who have been cast into the background. Why does this show even have "Tada" or "Koi" in the title? I wanted more of that charming first half of episode 1 where they encountered each other but stuff like that is nowhere in sight for 3 episodes...

Yep, Pin-senpai definitely knows. I get calling Hinako "sugei" or "sugekatta", but where the hell did "kirei" come from? For one, he wasn't suppose to have seen her all day, and two, how do you call someone as 'beautiful' or 'pretty' just because they said to write down 'person' in your hand to remove nervousness? He most assuredly was saying that to covertly compliment Hinako, because it does not make sense otherwise.
Another big clue? Hinako asks him if he said everything he wanted to say, and he said, yes he did. But look at his note! It's basically a frigging essay, and all he said was the last line. No, it makes more sense that with the phone call, it was only then he was able to say everything important that he wanted to say. And I'm not going into how Hajime knew that the best time to call Hinako is after dark. If he really was thankful for the 'person' advice, he would have called her immediately to thank her, or even just texted her. But for some reason, he picks the best time to have a conversation with Hinako. That seriously can't be a coincidence, right? Nope, that phrase doesn't trigger me. Nope, not one bit...

This show seems like it's trying to take its title seriously, because so far Hajime and Hinako are so much more interesting as a couple.

Yeah, it figured out it was her.
You can tell from the look he gave her when she wait "what do you do when you are nervous" or whatever. Although I assumed that was the case half way through the episode just from the title "I'll pretend I didn't see this". |
