If you have problems with firepower, it means that your ships aren't equipped with Type 3 shell, or too many escorts left alive.
Yeah, mostly it's because there are too many escorts left alive before night battle that my girls can't concentrate on the boss. I'm trying various composition to see how could I sweep those escorts out faster.

South route? In 4-5? You crazy? And no I'm not even talking about the NB node, I'm talking about node H where it spawns a camp of CL Oni + TWO Hellcat Wo + TWO Ru-Kai Do you seriously go through that?!

Most optimal comp is still going to be 2BB 3CA(V) 1CV taking the middle route. At least with veteran planes your CV won't have to be sitting duck for AS anymore.

^ I suppose it makes sense since it means you can bring full BB + 1CV which can be very helpful for the final kill. High risk high reward. Albeit too high for my taste since I loath taking BBs (who are absolute shit at surviving the night) through the NB node.

Heard that frequent refreshing can lead to undesirable consequences though.

I only refresh when I am off-routed and got pissed and impatient (like with daily sortie #7). That said, the battle prediction feature of KC3 kai made me a little less salty.

How is this predictor supposed to work anyway? Don't see it as much more than a funny toy since the outcome can be entirely different. As for refreshing, practically never do that as I have no reason to (the only reason for me would be when I accidently clicked on going ahead with a taiha kanmusu). Heard stories about people getting banned for too many refreshes, don't know how much of it is true, but better be safe than sorry, heh.

It show you the outcome from the "BATTLE START" message. Its main flaw is to show you the sunken ships in the enemy fleet, not those who were chuha or taiha. It's very accurate, as in, it show your fleet condition, so you know when to retreat. Which is a good thing when you went afk for some reason.

Hm, doesn't sound like something useful for me, although I can see why other people would use it. But like I said, I'm very sceptical of attempting to save resources via refreshing.

From what I saw, they show you the result right when the battle starts. It's kinda misleading to use the word "prediction", though. In a sense, you know what's already going to happen, so you won't feel as much salty when the actual battle occur where your girls get taiha or something along the line. Good for data management, I would say.

Well, the most amusing thing is, it tells me the route before I spin the compass.

I guess this feature would be the most useful one for me. No running around wondering which girls are holding which equipment anymore.

[edit]
Still can't make the Strategy Room feature work. It keeps hanging whenever I try to access the Fleet or the Ships List.
Oh, got it. I need to turn the console on before even starting the game, so it can load all the data onto the extension beforehand.

For 4-5 I go 5BB1CV through BCFHM. No night node, and even H isn't that bad. It's rare to get a retreat this way, a fail is generally when all starts aligned and you don't kill the boss.

I won't advocate it but I've been abusing it since forever. Call it one of my only few means of giving them back the bird.
