Especially that right arm. Almost makes you wonder if Kawamori designed it.

I was expecting a Senkousha parody, with a cannon between its legs dammit!

The seiyuu interviews.

The one that caught my eyes was Viletta's voice actress' comments.
"I hope she regains her memory, and gets back with her old husband Jeremia. I want to pilot KMFs again too.
I don't want to fade out of the story with this classic showa-era romance! *laughs*"

Poor Ougi.....

Here's CC in pilotsuit.

And here's the NT previews on upcoming episodes.
Edit: NM, the translation is already up

The interview with Taniguchi and Okouchi says that episode 24 & 25 will be aired a little later than episode 23.
So expect weeks... even months away from watching the final episodes of series 1.
Hopefully they'll air it before goldenweek.

Regarding the airdate of episode 24 and 25, I think it might be between the spring and summer seasons so that there cound be a smooth transition point between the 1st and 2nd seasons. besides, I wonder what they might have planned for the second season.

Tsk tsk tsk,

Just when Karen thought she would be the closest to Zero, CC comes in and swoops it away.

She's going to be devastated when she finds out CC is going to be Zero's personal pilot.

karen - 0

CC - 2

she was worried about the Guren in 19, she obviously loves the thing. I'm sure she'll manage to get over it. :3

Well, actually, we don't know what the language spoken in general is.
Most likely English for the most part, other than when only Japanese are around like the HQ of OoBK and the ghetto.

Just because they are speaking Japanese for the audience's sake, doesn't mean that's the language spoken you know
For example, the characters in Black Lagoon all speaks english for the most part.

As for C.C. piloting KMF...
Tamaki was ordering C.C. to practice KMF piloting in episode 19.
So we can assume she's training KMF piloting to some extent.
And for all we know, being immortal as she is, she could be a genius in absorbing new skills.
Just like Suzaku, and many other characters in a generic robot anime.

I'm just saying that convenient plot holes are indeed there to be convenient.

god knows what "britannianese" constitutes when the Romans never conquered the islands. the entire history of language could have easily changed. still, onomatopoeia seems to be doing just fine in the altered timeline, as frogs still go "croak croak" in Britannian, and "kero kero" in japanese. :3

I'm pretty sure that Britannia's language is English because they keep saying "Yes your Highness" and all those Old English phrases.

Also, does it even matter if the Romans did invade the islands or not? What matters is that Britain somehow obtained a lot of power probably in the time the colonial Britain was supposed to be winding down and breaking apart.

the roman conquest of the european continent allowed for the spread of culture, and with it language. pieces of latin were slowly integrated into these far older languages.

I mean, without the romans conquering gaul, french doesn't exist. heck, none of the romance languages exist. and similarly, you can connect the growth of english similarly to the invasions of the romans, anglo-saxons, norse, etc. If britannia was powerful enough to kick out all these invaders completely, or even more conquer other areas, we'd all be speaking variations on celtic languages. 0_o

@ashley

Well, first of all, their text books are written in English, and Shirley was clearly writing her letter in English too.
They showed the text books and the letter in the anime, and we all saw them already.

So we can pretty much conclude that their language is some form of English.

Well, I'm not disagreeing with you there really. I mean, the dark ages are a BOON for possible alternate histories and perhaps Britain just kept gaining steam instead of being constantly bogged down by the Spanish, the French, the Crusades and the American colonization.

I mean, if we can somehow imagine Britain succeeding in holding the mainland America as its own, I think it definitely could have helped make them stronger.

I don't think it's too unlikely for the Roman Empire to hold its power to modern times only if its upper governmental figures weren't so divisive and vain with the way they controlled their territory.

from the spoilers, it's looking like we won't get time to learn much about CC's past, unless they cram it into 24/25 somewhere. What other loose ends are there? Oh a thought, in ep 16, at the beginning when Lelouch is talking with Diethard, an Britannian-anti Britannia group is mentioned. we know anything about that yet?

Stage 21: The School Festival Announcement!

Lelouch enjoys himself in the school festival while making preparations for a battle plan to be attempted by the Black Knights. In the midst of that, Ougi, Villetta, Cecile and Euphie arrive at the school festival as well.
At the Haunted House, Ougi and Villetta accidentally bump into Kallen, who has been dressed up as a monster, while Cecile meets Lelouch there.
And then, Euphie, in the middle of looking for Suzaku because she has something to tell him, unexpectedly runs into a certain someone. A long-awaited reunion is achieved.

Stage 22: The Bloodstained Euphie

With the preparations for Euphie's proposed "Special Zone" underway, voices among the Elevens and the Black Knight members calling out to join the Special Zone are heard in increasing numbers with each passing day.
In the midst of that, the day where the "Special Zone" will finally be made a reality arrives. The memorial ceremony is held in a stadium in a grand fashion, with Euphie and co. in attendance.
Euphie had previously invited Lelouch to attend the ceremony as well, but there are no signs of his coming. And then, as the memorial ceremony is about to end...

Stage 23: With Sorrow, At Least

With an unexpected occurence, the Special Zone descends into unprecedented chaos. Meanwhile, Lelouch silently gazes upon the Japanese, who are angered at Britannia's actions.
In the midst of that, Kaguya appears in front of the Japanese, and, as the new guiding hand of Japan, nominates Zero. (T/N: Nominate for what? Doesn't say)
Lelouch, appearing in front of the Japanese called upon by Kaguya, announces their independence from Britannia as well as the start of a United States of Japan. (T/N: No, seriously, that's the direct translation for it >__>)

Irrefutable evidence that Zero must be wearing "magic boots" >__>

Code Geass official eMagazine for Stage 20:

Summary of the Summary:

- Sawazaku Atsushi, having served as the Deputy Vice-Minister in the Kururugi Administration in the days of the old Japanese government, fled to the Chinese Federation after [the Britannian invasion]

- Sawazaki, with the support of the Chinese Federation, starts a military operation in an attempt to occupy Kyuushuu. This "Kyuushuu Campaign" brings about unexpected effects.

- First effect: Zero reveals "The Order of the Black Knights' immediate goal" to his Black Knights. This will be a factor in the developments that will follow after.

- Second effect: A change in Suzaku and Euphie's relationship. The Decorative Vice-Chancellor and her Honorary Britannian Knight -- what has made them the way they are now? With the "Kyuushuu Campaign", the both of them reflect on what it is they truly want. (Literal translation: "gaze upon their own hearts")

Producer Kawaguchi's personal recommendations:

- Float System Lancelot and Aerial Battleship Avalon

- "Nina's obsession" XD

New one-liner dialogue spoiler:

Stage 23: With Sorrow, At Least

"I no longer have a choice but to continue on..."

^hmm, so Kaguya finally gets involved in the action. I thought Lelouch would walk into this whole memorial service thing like a total idiot, but it seems his plan at least is well done. all hail president zero. (err...or something like that)

also....United States of Japan? what do they need to call it that for? not like the various prefectures think of themselves as different countries at this point in time....
