Didn't bother me. I understood enough of it to get me through the episode reasonably. But no harm waiting til next week.

The guy actually said it was amateurish. I couldn't believe it though because I could understand it pretty well too.

Oh, don’t get me wrong, there’s no doubt I will understand what the characters say with the “amateurish” translation. It’s just, I want to get the “best” one, and if waiting is the only requirement to get it, then why not? I’m a patient person

Yes, yes, yes! This is what I want. I wasn't too sure about the character designs when I first say them, but I'm happy to say that they're beautiful in motion. Everything was perfectly spot-on from the dialogue on down the palette.

I cannot wait to watch episode two!

Amateurish? Not necessarily either. Chamber speaks awkward Japanese, and thus it's depicted so. Whether or not the subber depict it correctly is a matter of opinion. Likewise, subtitle color is irrelevant too..

From what I gather, it sounds like somebody (probably heavily opinionated) is simply going off on a tangent.. I would treat it with a grain of sand.

Every opinion is questionable anyway. Still, I’ve been a regular on that site, so if they say they know there will be a better translation than what we got now, I’ll just trust them and wait for the inevitable. Also, I’m not actually in a hurry to watch episode 2.

Actually, I take that back.. It does seem to have a few issues with missed subs and random underlined text..

I just never got there.

The translation quality itself, probably not an issue though.

edit: Hangyojin as "Geisha".. lol. Not quite.

It seems that my pals on that site was right that the sub isn't the best yet.

And please don't be confused. When I'm talking about fansub episodes, I consider subtitle and translation the same

Spoiler for Thin Gen does it again.: this is definitely a Gen Urobuchi series, and I'm not even talking about the ending scene, the WHOLE episode just smells of Gen Urobuchi's style. . .much more realistic(the attitudes of the adults towards red in particular. . .they wanted to fight him and take his shit!) in this kind of situation than any other mecha show like this. Im pretty sure its going to get real dark real quick.
