Sinbad looks badass and though very fitting for him. Also likes the colors used on them.

Oh god. The writer that I hate with a passion, Hiroyuki Fucking Yoshino, is writing this? Never have I been able to stand that guy's stupid Seikon No Quaser, Guilty Crown, Accel World, Dance in the Vampire Bund bull crap. Why does this hack even have a career?

I'm enjoying Accel World and I'm sure many are too. If you hate him, that's cool, but questioning why he has a career because of it? Isn't that a little harsh?

it seems his works start in a high note, then they simply become a melodramatic mess, specially with AW wich started good, but latest episodes stretch things too much that could be easily conveyed, i dont know if the original material do it this way too, but this is the problem i find with his works.

I was exaggerating and am aware that people like Accel World. But that doesn't change the fact that he is a terrible writer on the level of Ehren Krueger.

Nothing that happens in Accel World the anime doesn't happen in Accel World the novel that I can recall. Also the issue in that case isn't bad writing, it's just that people really don't seem to like the arc villain because of his smugness or the main character because he's stuck in a rut for the purposes of the arc.

Believe me I'm no lover of Yoshino, I think he's one of the single worst writers in the industry, but I recognize that he is pretty good at creating breakneck, but stable pacing and cliffhanger situations to hook the viewer for the next episode. It is a strength he has, but his terrible ideas cancel it out and just create a mess more often than not. This is why I think adaptations may actually be a good fit for him and why I'm not so worried here.

I will be worried if this is an original creation which is like guilty crown but magi isn't. Its a manga adaptation.

So you find GC to be one of his best works based on factors he had absolutely nothing to do with?

Well in my totally biased opinion (heehee), Denpa Teki ta Kanojo is a pretentious piece of shit. When even his best works are hated by me, that's not a good sign I'm going to like this. Although to be fair, I hated the entire concept of Accel World from the start, so even if he wasn't writing that series, I would have hated it.

There's a difference between hating the source and the quality of the adaption. If you hate the source, you're always going ot hate the adaption no matter how well done the adaption is. Since the question here is whether or not he can competently adapt the source, i was just pointing out that I think he isn't that important of a factor really here unless like Westlo said, they go off into switching around events a lot or go into anime original land.

well it also helped that the tone and plot of the series was darker so the melodrama of the characters more meaningful than in other of his works, but yea i dont find GC good for his merits, but its the best he has participed in in my opinion, and who knows he migth revindicate with the 2 works he's doing, and if anything this anime is worth chacking for the amazing animation shown in the PVs, probably the best in a A1 show this year, and thats much to say.

Yoshino needs his own thread lulz.

It's okay, he's not really that bad at adaptating. It's when you give him free reign that crap happens.

I can't help but feel some people are ultimately missing the point here.
