Negima!? Natsu (Summer) OVA
It might be good to start a thread for the Negima Summer OVA, since it'll be out in a couple weeks (November 22nd). Based on the screenshots it looks like they're taking the fanservice up a level with an onsen episode:

There's a thread for "Negima!? Haru OVA", but I thought this was a new OVA. Hmmm....maybe I misunderstood.

Negima!? Haru (Spring) Special!? OVA and Negima!? Natsu (Summer) Special!? OVA are two different OVAs.
The spring OVA is about Negi and his class' crazy vacation on an island. The summer OVA is more Nodoka and Yue lovelove-centric. The premise of the plot is that Nodoka discovers a magic spell for finding the "destined person tied to you", AKA lover and the red thread, in the library. With the help of Yue, they manage to activate the spell and create a red thread tied to Nodoka, with the other end bound to Negi. At first Nodoka is overjoyed, but she finds out that the spell is a joke. However, no matter how they try to cut the thread, it refuses to be severed. Apparently it will disappear on its own after a certain amount of time, so Nodoka has to follow Negi around for the duration. Fan service abound, involving more characters, like in the aforementioned bath scene. ...At least that's what I read in the Amazon.co.jp product description.

Might as well post the link to my thoughts for the Summer OVA here as well.

Well, its mainly about Nodoka - so i'll be in love with the OVA. I'd pretty much be saying that about any of the characters, but there are some that stand out~
I'm hoping we'll get more like this for different characters - Setsuna & Konoka are what i have in mind.

Well, between both the Spring and Summer OVAs, we've got enough fanservice to last at the very least a 26 episode series. Guess that means Shaft is going to stick to its not-so-much-fanservice-if-any-at-all style for the TV series, lol.
Of course, they could be just waiting to drop a nuke bombshell on us in the last episode and flood our brains with rampant fanservice in the finale. Personally, I'd like to see that. Just to see if and in what way the anime community blows up over it.

Wow.. and I thought the first OVA was "skin city" .... yeah, this must be the "animation team gets it out of their system" show so they don't go insane trying to stay within the censor restrictions of a dinnertime anime in Japan.
I'd say they're still slipping a fair amount under the radar in the series though.

Actually kind of sweet. Nodoka@NotoKawaii is just outstanding. Now that's moe. And the fanservice was nice: effective and tasteful, as I like to say -- except for the tentacles, which I could do without. But it's like these were practice sessions for the true awesomeness of the look of the TV anime. Not quite as good, to my eye. Shinbou was "chief director," but the director was Oonuma Shin, who worked with Shinbou on PaniPoni.
