This was a great start and met my expectations.

The first episode did its job at highlighting the setting and there's a lighthearted atmosphere. The working folks there all have different personalities but it's really fun to watch thanks to their character chemistry. Narumi is definitely my favorite character so far with her knowledge about different genres and just the way she reacts to certain situations.

The way she bonds with others is very fun to see. The comedy so far looks to be similar to the manga so that's also a plus. There's also other references including Saekano lol (pretty sure we'll see other series by A-1 making cameos as time goes on).

Hoping the animation doesn't degrade although I find it so-so at the moment.

The character reactions are absolutely priceless and really won me over so far

for this type of anime, a great animation is unnecessary, I will be satisfied if they keep the art constant and the current animation.

God Damn! I think I died laughing when she screamed this. Funny first episode, looking forward to the next one.
Also Tomokazu Sugita <3, one of my favorite voice actors is here.

This show already looks like a winner from this season. Not to mention I haven't watched an anime with office romance in years. Looking forward to the two adult otakus starting their relationship

If they were seriously trying to convince us that they have no feelings for each each other (particularly the woman) then I think they ought to have been little more subtle than ramming it down our throats . But it sure is nice that they start off as a couple rather than do the whole song and dance about their feelings for several hundred years like it is with most romances.

I do wish this show had better directing though. The art and animation was just so abysmally dull and cheap and some of the jokes just fell flat due to a lack of energy in them.

Ah, yes...been following this since its early Pixiv web comic days.

Good to see it adapted into animated form quite well.

good comedy and it seems that is going to be a sweet romance without any drama, great chapter... looking foward to this one.

"All guys like that sort of thing!" -Kabakura, about Childhood Friend Lovers

I don't know about that. Maybe in Japan or Asia in general there's that general notion, but here in the west, they'll choose the hot sexy girl over the childhood friend any day of the week. It's also interesting that Narumi is willing to date Hirotaka, as a relationship of convenience. No female in the west will date someone they aren't attracted to, just because he is her childhood friend.

It's pretty nice to see that this series is starting off with both characters already in a relationship. We won't have to deal with all the drama leading up to them finally starting to date. It's also nice to see both characters are perfectly fine socially despite being otaku (if you don't count Narumi's past failed romances).

love office romance mangas, so jumped right into this, especially lighthearted ones like this.

At first thought Narumi's voice didn't fit that well, but it grew on me as she kept babbling on, lol

That was an enjoyable first ep. I didn't laugh so much with the comedy but I did enjoy the characters interaction and the relationship between the two MCs. I've seen the manga around but didn't take too much interest in it based on summaries but now I think I'll check it out.

Overall animation quality aside, the first episode was quite... relatable. Narumi, ever the frustrated girl who doesn't seem to handle the game called Real Life, found a nakama in her childhood friend Hirotaka, and they entered a mutual contract of relationship. Now, I believe that there's an unwritten rule where co-workers should not enter a romantic relationship because this could bring an impact to themselves and their company... and I'm pretty aware that Narumi knows this, and yet we see her start going out with none else than her childhood friend.

There's so many things that could go wrong in their relationship, but fortunately, this is a romcom, so we might not have to take things seriously... right?

It was ok, comedy shows are always welcomed. It did felt a bit low budget, but who cares, if I can watch it for free with my prime sub.
