Nuns' with machine guns? No thanks, I've seen it enough times in bad comedies for me to be able to take it seriously.

just got done watching ep1. From ep1 so far I like it, I will absolutely follow this series. Chrno seem really interesting, I wonder what his true form is behind his Bishounen looks.

I think it seems interesting enough, although at least this first episode was nothing special. Hopefully there will be enough character development to keep it interesting. Also, for some reason, it looked really blurry - I wonder if it was the encode (anime-keep), my TV/software/whatever or just me poor, tired eyes.

your not the only one, it did look kinda blurry to me also. I dl A-Keep version by the way. I think it must be the raw not the encode or my media player.

I noticed some errors in their Romanji in the opening translation, i wont mention what cause its really obvious if listen to the part where they read the opening theme's name.

It was a fairly interesting serie's, That im definitly going to follow.
I will look forward to some competition and hopefully a better version.

ZeroX20 hope akraze or some other good group's version is nice.
Cause this serie's deserves quality.

Indeed - the Keep version just seemed a bit off to me, and was fuzzy enough I was wondering if my perscription bugging me or not again. ^^ Then again, from what I hear finding raws for the first episode was a pretty large task for most people - so quality might be lacking.

Personally, it felt like the translations were a bit off - it could be because I'm used to the scanlations for the manga, and I've been thinking in those terms for such a long time that seeing other interpretations of how things are pronounced / how people talk is a bit strange. That may well be from unfamiliararity with the source material though. And we'll have enough people translating Crusade that we'll be able to pick and choose, similar to all of the groups subbing Tsukihime.

I do agree though about this series deserving quality - I'm hoping it doesn't turn into another 'lets see who can sub it first' fest like some of the older series in the past. But I'm looking forward to seeing what the next episode brings.

Rosette trying to be demure though... it seems like a great contradiction in terms. ^_^

I just watched both versions of this show and there were big differences between them.

Encoding: Inf&AF-F was the better encode by far. The colors are sharper and the image clearer while A-Keep always seemed to be in mist.

Editing: A-Keep was better by far. They chose better phrases with clearer meanings. The Inf&AF-F version sometimes sounded very stilted.

Typesetting: I hated the Inf&AF-F typefont. It was practically DVD quality, while the A-Keep typefont was awesome, except for the inverted apostrophes which looked extremely weird. In other words, both groups had to work on this a bit.

Conclusion: I'm really looking forward to the WPP version since each of these sucked in some way. Hopefully WPP or someone else will actually sub this show right. In the meantime I'm going with the Inf&AF-F version because A-Keep's encode is so blurry that it hurts to watch it.

I'm pretty glad Athrun is back as well.
Hey, he's with another blonde tomboyXD
Rosette is alright. I like that she's spunky and all but she can be whiny sometimes.
Chrno I find a bit more interesting, because I'm curious on how Rosette managed to hook up with him.

I didn't notice the blurryness though with A-Keep's version. I thought it look fine. Only part that was blurry was when Rosette is attacked by the second mosnter.

sorry about the encode guys.... the raw i had to use was pretty evil and dead on all point on views, and i kinda was like concentrated much more on the kara/fx/typeset

gomen

i'll make sure eps2 gets much much better(since i'll have much less work to do)

Holy quite possibly the coolest OP I've ever heard in my life BATMAN! I haven't even watched the episode yet. I'm still reeling from the OP (and to a lesser extent the ED). I need these singles STAT!

I have AKeep's version, and I'm grabbing Inf's so I can watch them back to back later on, maybe along with Kraze's and whoever else pops up. I'm pretty content with just rewatching the OP sequence over and over and over and over again for now...

It seems fairly boring in the first episode, nothing that would interest me, but I give Gonzo a chance.

Personally I think this is quite disrespectful to nuns. Who cares if these are special nuns, nuns are nuns - I doubt they believe in violence, even if it's against evil. These seem, to me, to be just your ordinary evil-fighting group with the "interesting" facade of nuns.

It's only the first ep of course...

edit: I forgot to comment on the opening sequence - that was nice, I mean what would you expect from a company that started out doing FMVs for games and has produced nice animation almost all the way along. They have the know-how.

Yeah, well, the Japanese generally aren't Christians so they like to have ministers and nuns blowing things up... Plus one of the the most frequently raped archtypes in hentai movies are nuns... And the priests and the Church are always manipulative bad guys for some reason.

Anyway, seriously though, if you watch anime you shouldn't take the religious context too seriously. The Japanese use Christianity as a form of exoticism and story, not because they believe in its ideas or even care about Christians. After all, Christian, Greek, Norse, Chinese, Japanese, etc. gods are all hold at about the same light.

That's true... for them I suppose it doesn't matter, and it shouldn't really matter to me (I'm not Christian) but I guess I expect some things to stay, being used to a different kind of thing...

I guess I'd have enjoyed it more if they made up their own exotic thing rather than putting in something not very appropriate (That of course is just my own opinion, so please don't make this a topic about that)... One's man meat is another mans poison I guess.

I'll keep watching for a while though, see if there are other redeeming points.

That's why you tell your raw getter to get you a better raw, and keep doing so until he/she supplies you with something that is worth using, or get the raws yourself (recommended). "raw I had to use" doesn't cut it when there are plenty of raws to be had on winny. It seems to me that you guys rushed to release first, instead of taking your time to find a decent raw.

Quality or speed...

okay lemme put things clear
we didnt rush that much, we still have great quality APART this encode which isnt great

i think our release has a pretty good quality(even though i shouldnt tell that since i worked on it) so please, refrain stupid comments like "speed over quality"

about raws, i admit i didnt search much, but it will definetly go better in next eps, since i wont have anything but encode and typeset to do

and the encode isnt THAT bad, i mean look at <censored> shows that aired on fuji. Fuji's raws are often bad since there is no hdtv of it, and they have pretty bad stream encoding

As someone who happens to be a practicing Catholic who has a priest for a uncle and went to catholic school half his life. i can say that i like this show, gonzo animes thend to rate rather highly with me even if this is one i wouldn't let my uncle see. (my uncle went to a con with me once).

Is it just me or could Rosette pass for Seras' twin sister?

This show's goinga be a top download for me and i plan on doing some seeding for it since i won't be home for till friday night after i leave today.
