I believe the first anime I watched was CardCaptor Sakura (CardCaptors when they aired it here). I loved it.

I was shocked at how much I missed watching the English adaption.

Dragonball, unfortunately.....I don't think I could ever watch it again. I didn't watch it religiously but I think I've seen upwards of 30-40 episodes.

Gundam Wing. For a while, I thought that anime was awesome. I also listened to the dubbed Toonami version. I feel ashamed. Even after watching other animes, I thought it was a good Gundam series. Then I saw SEED.

Pokemon - DBZ - Naruto - Bleach - Elfen Lied, and after Elfen lied (my first short anime serie, ive watched) i began to persuade something simulair to it. wich led me to all the 30 series wich i keep on my extern hard disk.
I still pray every night for the health of the 1 that gave me Elfen Lied.

I remember them..... I agree with you as far as having the old Toonami. I haven't watched it in quite some time, but I think all they have now is Naruto, though I think most of the anime on that channel now plays on Adult Swim.

Dragon Ballz is the earliest one that I can remember the name of. I forget the name, but the first one I saw had something to do with like a blue cat/dog looking thing with whiskers, no ears and a bell. I remember the picture clearly, but I forget the name.

I liked the peak of Toonami, back when they had the robot on the spaceship Absolution or whatnot.

Voltes V, when I was four / five. ^^ I saw it alongside other anime series (Mazinger Z and Daimos) and several Japanese live-action series -- Shaider, Masked Rider Black and Bioman.

I loved the teamwork in Voltes V, and the ED theme (it was poignant). From then on, anime-watching has been a regular part of my life.

I only started watching anime more seriously since last year or so, though (catching up on anime on TV --> searching for series to watch).

My first taste of anime was Dragonball Z, during the Freeza Saga. Even now I still harbour a soft spot for mindless, plothole-ridden shounen anime.
