"One year break" is made more sense to me, there is more example with that kind of scheduling than that one.

Although we might want to see more info for Accel World anime before, if its another Studio 8 or not, split cour or not. (spring and fall, its does make sense for Horizon S2 aired in summer that way) etc.

Those weren't split cour shows with second seasons planned prior to the airing of the first season of the anime.

Why the heck is everyone everywhere seemingly freaking the ever loving hell out about this news?

I mean wasn't it clear and stated from the start that this would be split cour and would be skipping a season before coming back? Also MAL and elsewhere is absolutely losing their minds over this like they always do cause "hurr shit anime durr". The priorities of some fans these days are just astounding. Honestly didn't know this show was the source of nearly this much internets drama and honestly not sure how many people are actually watching it versus looking at screencaps and deciding in their heads what it's actually like. This aside from the obvious shit posters and trolls who I pretty much know by name now and who to ignore. Protip: Avoid an MAL poster named McRib like the plague if you're ever browsing those forums, though honestly it's safe to just ignore like 95% of the posters there anyway.

You basically just answered your own question, but I think some people also like to compare it unfavourably against Fate/Zero cause Fate/Zero is all serious fucking business , "dark and gritty (TM)" and the "best show of the season (TM)" while Horizon is the "competition" that takes it's premise in stride and carries itself with good humor, layered storytelling (basically why nobody seems to get the show) and the occasional awesome action sequence.

Seriously, I don't know whoever said that 4chan actually like this show. I regret ever coming back to that place to find Horizon thread. The amount of trashing and shit talking about this show is almost on the same level as IS thread. I'll stick with Animesuki.
I like that popular Sunrise series trolling is finally an acknowledge issue now. It's really just blatantly obvious isn't it? Not sure how people tried to argue to me that I was just being a fanboy and that it was all in my head.

In my opinion, if it's not out by spring, they might as well call it the [second season] instead of a [split-cour]

Waiting for the last volume to sell them in kinokuniya. If only amazon japan's international shipping weren't twice the cost of the product itself, I would've grabbed my own copy already... @-@;

That book at the top looks precarious. Hope no one passing in that aisle would get knocked out if it falls off...

Looks like I'm right on my supposition that the last part of volume 4 will be close to 1K page.

↑ I think I found a similar comment like this in the net.

Here it is:

Mito: こ、これが原作ですのね?極厚サーロインより厚いですわね―――
Teach: はいはい皆、席ついて。本広げてー広げにくいとか言わないの。じゃあ今日はそれで筋トレよー。

If I have any gripe in Horizon novel, I think it would be the weight of holding the book as you read through it.

You know it looks huge when you see it from the images, but holding one of them in real life- it's not as large as I'd thought

Yeah, light novels aren't that big. 10.5cm x 15cm dimensions.

But it's thick and heavy... Especially damn 2B. It's even thicker than our Merriam-Webster Collegiate dictionary...
And my arm would hurt after reading like 100 pages from carrying it in an hour or so.

Lol for bulletproof capacity. I'm pretty sure it can stop a 9mm to .45 ACP bullets/ .

That and it can also be a door stopper, a paperweight, a muscle training tool, a handy blunt weapon and an entertaining read for 1190 yen? That's quite a bargain if you ask me.

The bold part requires at least 2 years of Japanese course if you ask me .
Still, I'd like to get a hold on one.

Or probably longer. Even Japanese natives had a hard time reading the novel due to Kawakami's writing style.

If you go read amazon's review of Horizon novel or just surf the net for 境界線上のホライゾン 感想, you will see most people say... YOMIDZUREEEEE!!!

But well, basically you will almost get everything after reading through it the second time.

I want to ask, is the story of Horizon end on vol 4C or it will continue to vol 5?
I'm scared to open/read LN topic - anti spoilers

It's nowhere near ending.

It looks like the manga art. So probably one of the newer chapters from after the anime start?

Well....actually there are, but they are so disgusting I don't want to remember. I saw them once on the site that begin with the "San" word. Btw, if you ever go there, treat every news which belongs to that place with a grain of salt.

Kimi must be one a very few huge chest girls that I actually like.
