It's a shame since long combos are fun to execute. I feel like I'm in the zone whenever I manage to land one. Its not as fun when you're on the receiving end though...

Long combos are fine, but like any fighting game there needs to be a balance between the neutral game (footsies, spacing, zoning, etc), the combo damage and execution, and the setplay (oki, mixups, etc).

When the combos are too long, you get Fate/Unlimited Codes and Under Night In-Birth, where the neutral game is just a single coin toss at the beginning of the match and whoever wins it rides the momentum all the way to the end with no point of return. If the majority of the game is just combo, 50/50 oki mixup reset into another combo, all the way to the end with no neutral game except at the beginning of the match, then it's not that far off from a broken fighting game with infinites.

But that's exactly what Melty is lol
You would have to take in consideration the character's style too. A typical Rushdown vs Zoner matchup, ends up with either the later slowly losing, or the former quickly getting killed.

Huh?

Melty has plenty of variety, and the combo length depends on the character. Characters like C/F Ryougi or H Nanaya have simple combos while C Arc and C Powerd Ciel, and C Satsuki have much lengthier combos that require a lot of execution.

It's nothing like UNIB where you have Hyde and Seth who have everything from fast normals and up to 7k+ damage combos that generate the meter to use their 200% Viel Off ultimate to having fuzzies and unblockable setups that work in every situation. They fixed the infinites in that game, but for those characters it doesn't feel any different at all.

Blazblue Calamity Trigger.

The rest are:

2) Blazblue Continuum Shift
Then Continuum Shift II came out, followed by Continumm Shift II Extend (I think)
3) Blazblue Chrono Phantasma is still only in arcades in Japan right now, but it's the latest.

Don't bother getting the first one, because extend has the entire story of CT (slightly rewritten and shortened) plus all the later content

IF you don't want to wait, then I suggest getting Blazblue Continnum Shift Extend. Its like dirt cheap and you get all of the contents Blazblue has to offer at the moment.

plus, the paid content on CS and CSII are available on CS Extend for FREE
you just have to unlock them through points you accumulate in-game

Okay this mostly likely the clearest version of Weak Executioner II that we will hear until OST drops. The match last long enough to hear the whole thing too. Like a lot of remixes it's faster than the original, but it sounds on par IMO.

Need to echo this, just watched it myself a couple days ago and it's an excellent refresher course on CT's plot. Some things make more sense through it than did in the first game and the pacing is a better too. My only gripe is that some characters like Tager are pretty much sidelined and certain backstory events aren't mentioned .

On one other note: I didn't realize that all of CT took place in one day the first time around.
