But Ippo is the main boxer. The protagonist. Sure there are a lot of boxers showing more of there "spirits". But Ippo is the boxer in focus from the start of the manga.

I know they go into a lot of other peoples fights which is a good thing but before i started reading this i would of expected ippo to have nearly taken the world championship by now ....

IF that happens that will be last chapter i will read for this manga, im ok if ippo loses to dante or ramirez(or what ever that champ was) or anyone else that is really looking like boxer, but nothing like this kind of joke character.

imho, Ippo can lose (losing presents mucho room for character development), but only if he can then almost immediately re-challenge Wall-E. Think of it like "Rocky III", only less gay...
