Well in any event regardless of studio track record lets give it a chance, at least - perhaps it will surprise us? (Erm...in a good way, I mean.)

I still have a couple more episodes to watch, but Shinmai Maou no Testament was an improvement (and by improvement, I mean an upgrade from disaster to a relatively stable mediocre/average). Without a drastic reworking of the strategy though, I wouldn't expect any miracles.

At any rate, I've been pouring through AIC's slate lately, and the attention to quality seems to be consistently inconsistent (generally, I feel a downward slide through the 90s and early to mid 2000s, OVAs included). In terms of overall quality, there was a bit of an upswing during recent years, but a good number of older works are in line with the worst of IMS and Deen.

The only thing I've seen from IMS is Inari KonKon, and I thought the production was fine there. More important to me is that the director and writer are experienced and have decent track records, so I'm not overly concerned at this point.

Inari KonKon was fine. It's what happened after (the split into Troyca and the current IMS, which is more experimental in how they manage workload and production management) that gave them a spotty reputation.

So this is the second time KanaHana is voicing a character surnamed "Akane" after all.
Can't wait to see doujin artists make fun of her when they'll crossover her with Akane from P-P, if you know what I mean.

Interestingly in that last shot at the end of the PV the King/Papa is shown much shorter than he is shown in the promotional art. I guess it was "standardized" a little? Well ... we will see how the series fares as a whole....

I'm looking forward to this one. I don't have any expectations so unless it's a complete train wreck I don't see how it could disappoint. As long as I'm mildly entertained (which is all I hope for when watching series like this) then I'll be happy ^_^

I do wish the PV had given us to have a better feel for the show but oh well.

Normally, Sentai Filmworks are the one who license Manga Time Kirara titles. However, seems that Funimation wants to break the monopoly of it!

Seriously, I think they should pick other titles apart from this. There's no way it could sell!

Wacky setting, which isn't bad itself (though it felt like Winter in the Summer), but it was... just quite boring. Not much to say other than, then a wacky and stupid setting done in a way that came off as boring.
