Just watched the first episode, and it was super cute!

I hope it'll stay this way.

1) Was......was that really Eguchi??? Uwaaahh.........

2) Awww, everyone is so cute.

3) She "forgets" her phone at your place (no way that wasn't on purpose), she bakes you sweets, she's delighted when you ask her to bake more sweets, she's all blushy around you, she runs after you to get your mail address... but she loves Suna. Right. Takeo, you're soooooo clueless.

4) If (when) they get together, Takeo will end up getting so fat.

(5) OK, what's up with Suna? Don't tell me...)

I think one of the things I like about this show is not so much that the male lead isn't a bishounen, but also that he's not some kind of otaku self-insert wish-fulfilment character (like you get in so many shows) instead.
We see that he's pretty popular, active, and an all round good bloke, who doesn't even resent the idea that his best mate is more popular with the girls than he is.

Because of all that, you can't help but root for the big lug.

Episode 1

That was pretty amusing but I kinda pity Takeo. The big friendly giant is so low in self esteem that he can't even see the one chance he's finally got with a girl. I hope he eventually catches on.

Though to be honest, they could stand to make him and his weirdness a little less of a caricature. I was surprised the girl wasn't weirded out by Takeo staring at her up close like that.

Also there needs to be a cross over between Ore Monogatari and Kill la Kill because I have a feeling Takeo and Gamagoori would get along really well.

Eh, you really can't blame him given that every single girl he's ever liked confessed to Suna. It's only natural for him to think this one isn't any different.

And the red & blue oni story at the beginning? If the red oni is Takeo (obviously) then the blue one must be Suna, which kind of implies that he's been going through great lengths for Takeo and his happiness. Which makes him an awesome bro, at the very least.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure it's not going to go there.

But it would be sweet (if also kind of sad).

No, I completely understand and I'm not blaming him, but he didn't even notice that something was "off" (so to speak) when she asked for his address and not Suna's.

Sure, it can be explained away with some mental gymnastics (she's too shy to ask for Suna's email so she asks his best friend's, etc.), but still, come on, Takeo.

Good episode overall. Oh how I just love the teamwork in this series!

The flashbacks and on-screen chemistry between the three main leads are also quite interesting to watch. Such a charming show.

Looks like they finish off the first chapter with episode 3 at this pace. For anyone who may be confused, chapter one is a little over 100 pages. The average chapter is around 45-50 pages.

Hmm.. looks like Suna's personality would go well with Takeo's body and the other way around.
One scares them, but likes them.
The other is liked by girls, but is not interested.
*sigh* no wonder those two are friends..
Damn, that Takeo sure is dense, but kind-hearted.

They didn't appear in anime, but there was a crossover with Nisekoi.
