ichigo saved himself...
in situations like that, it makes you wonder what would have happened to the universe if ichigo said "nah, i won't try and get my powers back"... ... also, kageroza's frank obsession with nozomi is getting a little creepy, to say the least.

"His power's dont work on you because of your Hollow Powers, Kurosaki"
"Sweet, so I take it that means you are going to get the Vizard's to back me up as we take on this impossibly tough army?" "...Why would I do that?" Other than the Vizard's lack of presence , especially since last time we saw them they were hanging in Soul Society all casual-like, it was an okay episode.

It's interesting how Kon was used to vocalise Ichigo's hidden sadness at his powerlessness.
It would be awesome if that bit of reiatsu could be used to mass-produce many of those pills (by copying the sample repeatedly) so that whenever Ichigo ran out of powers again, he could just eat one of those and get his powers back to the level they were at when he got eaten by the Cleaner (although this would completely break the inevitable "oh woe is me, I've got no powers" stage for Ichigo's future development) |

Grimmjow!!! One of the reasons I watch Bleach now is for its current ED theme.
Nice no-action episode. Even Ichigo's little speech - I have no powers, but I have a soul was good. And so next episode action again, that's good!

I assume he will get his powers back in the main storyline somehow might just as well be this way. BTW: Does anyone know for how long this arc will go on? |

If solid animation and "good looking" fights is what you're looking for, then look no further. This current arc is likely one of the best animated arcs this series has seen in years. You may not enjoy the plot very much, but every fight so far seems to range from decent to very good in quality IMHO.

Another solid episode.
Is it me or white just not ichigos color at all? I found it a bit boring in some parts but this Ichigo powerless thing is just simply annoying. Get to the fighting already!

I thought Ichigo wasn't going to be able to see Rukia and Renji anymore, but nope, gigai, problem solved! Anime team knows their Bleach lore.
On another note, what exactly is Urahara? If Ichigo can still see him, and he runs a shop in the real world, is he in a gigai too? Also just learned that Kon has tear ducts in his plushy form. |

he's in an untraceable gigai - him, tessai and all the vizards.
what i don't get is whether they can access their powers while in the gigai - i've never seen urahara or the vizards wear their shinigami outfits, so i assume they do. which means any normal human watching them fight will just see one person fighting thin air... while i'm at it, does't anybody take notice when random explosions and inexplicable damage happens in karakura town anymore?
