I have a timely question for now...
base on this video which tv tokyo has claimed now...
Is hunterxhunter 2011 will be release in cable tv now?
Cause TV tokyo has claimed a video on youtube. I'm not surprised though, i know this is Nihon tv's anime right?

I totally forgot that 99 has a filler lapse maybe thats also the reason the wound is gone in an instant? or is healed?

Wow, just wow. I can't believe that they ACTUALLY DID THIS RIGHT. I thought there were gonna screw this up but, even though I watched the first series, the scene which Hisoka lets out all of his blood lust, made me shiver a little

. Now I'm really looking foward to further arcs.

I don't remember,google the episode list of HxH 1999 series.

As for this week's episode,i also loved this,maybe he didn't come back with the dude's head,but it was creepy nonetheless.

Still, Hisoka going crazy was so much better done (and creepier) in the 1999 anime, that i can't help but feel kind of sad. The expectations were too high.

Heh. I read the manga and I obviously was expecting them to cut that scene. But I was surprised they actually maintained the creepiness in this remake

Like a lot of people here, i was certainly impressed with this weeks episode. The right mood needed for Hisoka's scenes was perfectly handled, especially regarding the music placement. I couldn't hold back the goosebumps during the second half of the episode.

I've been highly enjoying the 2011 remake since the first episode, though i can truly say after this episode that it's gaining higher marks then the original series.

Eh, I mostly agree, but I'm trying to enjoy this version on its own merits so I've put off constant comparisons to the original. But yeah, I liked how in that one the whole encounter took place in the dark of the night. The exam in general just had a more sombre atmosphere altogether there.

But this one's trying to stick closer to the manga, hence it being day time, and that's fine too I guess.

Thanks for the comparison yet again Toto. Truly showing the differences between the two adaptations.

Always liked the fact that Hisoka ends up wearing Geretta's hat in the 1999 version.

I still can't figure out Hisoka. That guy is just weird & scary, but intriguing.
Gon did a great job with his fishing rod, but he still has a few things to learn.

Toto y Moi Amor Fati Join Date: Oct 2011	Spoiler for Hunter x Hunter episode 16 comparison: This episode covers chapters 27 and 28 in the manga, while corresponding to episode 23 and half of episode 24 in the 1999 series. Hisoka has a strange run in the 1999 series. When choosing to follow Hisoka, Gon in the manga already knows he's targeting Leorio and Kurapika. In the 1999 series, he doesn't find out until after Hisoka has already stopped. He never considers whether or not it would be better to steal Hisoka's badge if he attacks Kurapika and Leorio. The 1999 series changes Kurapika's bokken swords into katana, for some reason. Leorio's knife is also made into a Japanese blade. I don't think either anime adaptation gets Hisoka's vogue pose down. Hisoka's bloodlust sees him standing still until morning in the manga and 2011 series. The 1999 series sees Hisoka claw at his arms and grasp his stomach while trying to suppress his bloodlust. His eyes roll into his head too. None of this happens in the manga. While the 1999 series does shade the areas around Hisoka's eyes while he lurches, it doesn't look similar to how it is in the manga. Agon. 1999 series doesn't show blood when he dies--he just falls over. Geretta is beheaded by Hisoka in the manga. In the 1999 series, Hisoka kills him and steals his hat. In the 2011 series, Hisoka drags his body and drops it in front of Gon. Gon being hit by Hisoka is more violent in the manga/2011 series. Gon in the 1999 series is traumatized by the encounter after this point. He is afraid of Hisoka more than anything. He can't move for two days, urinates himself, eats bark, pities himself, and cries. We have no access to Gon's thoughts in the manga/2011 series, but it's clear that something inside him has changed.
