Mods - Hakkenden S2 has started, but the series thread is still in the Older Series subforum.

This season looks bad...

There are too many "girls-only-shows". As far as I remember, the only girls-only-show that i watched, was madoka magica. The worst thing about this season though, is "Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyu". I HATE shows like that, because they propagate double standards and that one trope I had more than enough of already in anime... and this happens just when I thought that the time of the violent tsundere finally ended diappointing!

Anyway... after that rant, my own watchlist, which will be quite short this cour:

will follow for now:
Danganronpa Kibou no Gakuen to Zetsubou no Koukousei
Blood Lad
(first Manga chapters where so-so, but maybe I'll like the anime more)
Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi

carryovers:
Ginga Kikotai Majestic Prince
Shingeki no Kyoujin (Attack on Titan)

I think they meant shows with an all-female cast.

(And was Madoka "seinen"? Does "seinen" mean anything when it comes to anime? Especially with a show like Madoka that didn't try to target only one demographic...)

I think he's referring to the manga adaptation (which is indeed seinen)

I'm confused about the seinen definition here.
Madoka Magica manga is published on MANGA TIME KIRARA. The targeted readers are male whose age are 10 and up.

As kuromitsu already pointed out, I was NOT talking about the demographic being shoujo. I was talking about "the cast constisting of only females", which I don't like.

Should I feel offended now? Meh, I rather see it positively. So if what you say is true, I successfully managed to subconsciously skip EVERY SINGLE new anime that had a violent tsundere. I guess I became good in that!

Yea, but... IMO the problem is that it becomes harder to find a character to emphatize with, and also it feels even more disconnected from reality than any magic from LotR would... but that is just my personal opinion.

I don't really like "moe", but if I really had to choose, then:

"Moe" > Tsundere
