Ah yes, it has been a long long time since I played these Xeno- games (excluding Xenoblade, which I don't play at all), so I get things jumbled.

AFAIK Episode 0 is a promotional episode, basically interviews and stuff.

Excellent production value, interesting world and a decent plot. So far so good. Akane seems like she will make a good main character. She has the kind of optimistic personality needed to be a MC in magical girl shows, and she is pretty brave.

There are 5 main heroines - Akane, Aoi, Wakaba, Himawari and Rei, but only the first 4 are shown wearing the Palette Suits. Either Rei will be shown in one much later on, or she has her own source of power.

I do like the fan service shots they put in this anime

But back to the anime itself. Quite a few interesting things happening in this anime with the whole mind switching thing and the huge "Alone" vehicle thing destroying jets with skilled pilots without trouble.

The Gramps character is going to be favoured by a lot of people, he's certainly in my "Pay attention to the things he does" category because of the humorous yet interesting things he does

The flashback showed how their mother was hospitalized and her fear of heights, or that's what i'm assuming at least

I wonder how everything ended up like that with them hanging on for life. Hopefully more flashbacks will happen.

Overall I liked the first episode, it was interesting

Good first episode! Fanservice was minimal but it was pretty nice.

I really like Akane & Dr. Isshiki quite a bit already. Their relationship is also something pretty nice to watch.
That house, is quite something...bunker entrance from the middle of a room, and that's one awesome fridge. Though one massive engine that powers the whole world? That's pretty cool, wonder how expensive it was though...

Akane is awesome in all regards, even with eating mayo on her rice!

I've seen shows were the visuals made a massive difference, but this is a show where the BGM makes a massive difference.

The BGM for this episode is just pitch-perfect, and downright awe-inspiring. It adds soooo much to the atmosphere. It makes this world come alive, and seem so vibrant and worthwhile. At times, it's softly inspirational in this life-affirming way. Other times, it's appropriately ominous in this drama-building way. And then, during the scene where Akane is racing after the crashing plane... I instantly thought this is the perfect music to use for Superman saving an airplane, lol. Just totally thrilling.

Major kudos to whoever handled the BGM for this.

The BGM aside, the characters are generally likeable, and I think this was a very good approach for a first episode. It kicked things off with a BANG, but it also ends on a bit of a cliffhanger to leave you wanting more.

I'm not a fan of the fanservice, though. It's thankfully not quite as bad as Strike Witches, but it is distracting. This show would be much better without it, imo. I'm really hoping that any action scenes pitting Akane in direct combat with one of these techo-monsters will keep the fanservice down to a bare minimum.

I dont believe you since you have a yuri kiss avy you must be like the rest of us men ^^
And since i seen an offical pic with akane and yoshika on it im assuming its from the same company so we are gonna get plenty of butt shots during fights

The main character had the misfortune of gazing directly to this other dimension and gets imprinted with something which allows him to use unique magic, at the cost of his karma which is guaranteed to be awful. tl;dr: Manifestation Engine = Zohar, Akane = Fei, Kenjiro = Citan __________________ If there's a Final Fantasy game that I must put my personal seal of disapproval on, it's Crisis Core. I mean, just look at how this Genesis Rhapsodos dude is raping the canon. It's bad. As in, fanfiction bad.
