So, who will pilot the successor to the Zeydra? 30-something Zeheart if he miraculously survives through Asem's inevitable rage? Or his brother? Perhaps a female Veigan?

I like the new gun design as well although the old one was more menacing. The new one is more streamlined though and there's a nice mix of "heavy" and "normal" there. The old one was essentially the AGE System pulling out all the stops for a powerful handheld weapon.

the AGE-3's design lost some weight, its not bad, but i wouldve preferred the early leaked design of the AGE-3 instead, i love dem fat mobile suits

I like it as well, even though I was a huge fan of the heavy duty early leaked design of the AGE-3, I think that having it look less like it was fighting fortresses and more like a traditional MS makes it look much better.

Yeah, this is one Gundam tradition I would've been more than happy for them to skip entirely. I only hope that this doesn't drag on for too long ...

At the very least, despite all the favoritism shown towards him, Asem had been the most pleasant Gundam lead so far, being an all around nice kid who would help anyone even an enemy when in trouble out of the good in him, never standing aside for what he thinks is wrong, jumping to the call despite hating fighting (but he's not a LOLanimepacifist) and just being all around a good guy. Plus all the crap he seems to have been thorough in episode 21 makes me want to give him a bit of slack so hopefully this wont be so bad ...

I think the last 3/4 series didn't have the main character running away.

Not much of a trend recently... and its not like Asem is going to run away for the more usual cliche: "I hate war!" But because he's just never going to get a break in this game, everything is stacked against him.

It'd be pretty normal to snap in such a situation.

Call it emo if you want, but I wouldn't call it running since they do it in their own time and they never purposely try to run away.

But yeah, the point is that running away isn't really a trend in Gundam, especially with AU series.

Actually... Gundam 00 had Saji in season 2, and G-Gundam had Rain.
