As for Gatsby and Daisy's relationship, long story short Gatsby does not love the present Daisy but rather the past Daisy. He loves the idea of her

You completely missed Masamune's point. His issue is that Aki likes the chubby version of him but Aki never indicated if she like the current him who is no longer fat. Aki even tried to fatten him back up which made Masamune question if she even likes him or only the idea of him.

They laugh at each other's attempt at making pancakes of all things. Masamune takes Aki to his room, where Aki finds the photo from their childhood. Aki steps on a dumbbell, and Masamune falls on her. Nothing happens, Masamune runs to the toilet, where they start text conversation, using their phones. Masamune's "allergy to bitches" once again resurfaces. The chapter ends with Aki finding the revenge book. But all that matters is, Santa Yoshino.
