If you guys didn't remember, the Developmental Abilities increase very, very slowly. Ais only has Hunter at G, and she's had that Ability for seven years.

We can use this as evidence towards Single Minded Pursuit affecting Developmental Abilities. I wonder if we'll ever get a definitive statement about what Luck does.

Since his "luck" went up, that Single Minded Pursuit... should also increase, at a higher rate than anyone else because he has the "luck" that is supposed to be new and no one ever had before.

At least that is how I understand it.

Skills don't have ranks. There's no reason for Single Minded Pursuit to become more powerful. And no reason for it to be affected by Luck. For one thing, we aren't entirely sure what Luck does. I was commenting that Bell's Developmental Ability would take at least a year or two to get to rank H from rank I if it was unaffected by SMP.

Hestia thought it was something akin to divine protect. The Half Elf guild worker thought it was drop rates. At the end of book 6 we still don't know which is correct. Or if either is correct.

I did!! Twice!! I even gave the source for it cause it's in the preview read for volume 7. But the traffic's too high nowadays, might've gotten buried in the other posts.

The common one was abnormal resistance which only defended against poison. If "Status Ailment Resistance" is what it sounds like (resist poison, sleep, confusion, etc.), that might be really broken. Can somebody clarify on whether this was just the poison resist one or the omni resist?

IIRC, her beauty/charm is a part of her innate abilities, not her goddess abilities, so she's allowed to use it.

Wouldn't really call her a slut. A prostitute maybe (albeit a really really shitty one), but not a slut.

1. "Status Ailment Resist" works in the same way as a ribbon in Final Fantasy. So, my question is, does that make him immune to drunkeness? Well, since it is resist, not cancel, I guess status ailments will still work on him if the power of the ailment is higher than resistance rank.

Also, hearing about his new development ability, isn't Bell getting all the skills that could be necessary for a Godslayer. He has Argonaut to boost his attack powers as high as he wants, status ailment resist for not getting charmed,poisoned etc. by Gods that utilize said skills and then there's <Luck>, an indispensable skill for anybody

Story began with Ishtar expressing envy of Freya, and Haruhime saying she has 7 days left. Next scene, Bell and them doing a quest. We found out that Bell had reached Level 3 in a month with Bete going ぐぬぬ. Nothing said about Lily.

Flash forward, Hestia paid Goibuniu to revamp the mansion they won from Apollo. The top floor became a huge bath place, while the basement became a smithing area per Mikoto and Welf’s request. Daphne and Cassandra came because Cassandra wanted to get her pillow back (she saw it in a dream that her pillow is here …). Bell, being the only one who trusted Cassandra so far, helped them find it. Moving on, Hestia hosts a giant recruitment event, Daphne and Cassandra wants to join, but Mikoto saw Hestia’s loan from Hestia (200 million) for Bell’s knife and accidentally scared all the prospect applicants off.

Meanwhile, Chigusa came and told Mikoto that she heard about people spotting a Reynard in the red light district of the city. Mikoto snuck out that night to search for this mysterious lady, but was tailed by the rest of the Familia. Upon reaching the place, Bell was separately and bumped into Hermes while Welf and Lily caught up to Mikoto and Chigusa. Hermes gave Bell a bottle of Viagra and left (based Hermes). Bell being all flustered by all the skimpy ladies, ran into Aisha. Who brought him to Ishtar’s headquarter to eat him. While there, Phryne heard about the new boy (food) in the house and decide to fight Aisha for the meal. During their scuffle, Bell ran for his life, which turned into all the Amazoness in the area having a death race to get their prey. Scene was literally described as panther and tigers chasing down a rabbit. Bell was caught a few times, but only to escape due to them fighting each other. Eventually, he ran into Haruhime, who thought he is a customer and began to serve him. Upon seeing his clavicle she feinted, Amazoness who chase after thought Haruhime is working, so they left.

Bell chatted with Haruhime for a night. Meanwhile, Hermes was actually there to do a delivery job for Ishtar, and was subsequently sucked dry by her (most likely figuratively and literally) to get information about Freya’s weakness. Next morning, Bell went home with a bottle of used Viagra and faced a very pissed off Hestia. While they’re doing the friendly neighbor thing by helping out the surrounding area due to moving to a new place, Bell was trying to figure out how to help Haruhime. He also shared the information with Mikoto and co. (Eina, Syr and the maids made minor appearance).

They decide there is nothing they can do, but bumped into Hermes. After some discussion, Hermes told them it might be possible to buy her, but upon mentioning that their friend is a Reynard, Hermes left with the word Sesshouseki and disappeared. Meanwhile, Ishtar set up a trap to bait Bell by having a direct Quest sent to Hestia with the payment of 1 million. Bell and Mikoto wanting to get money asap to help Haruhime, decided to take it even though usually Quest are only given out by the Guild. Hermes was seen visiting Mia again and asking her to set up appointment with Freya; Syr finds out what happened after. Ambush worked and Bell and Mikoto’s captured. Here we find out Haruhime can give +1 Level to target.

Phryne attempted to “eat” Bell on her own after the capture, but Haruhime snuck Bell out (pretty hilarious scene here) while leaving Mikoto a key (Mikoto was unconscious at the time). Mikoto holds 2 skills, Yatanokurogarasu and Yatanoshirogarasu, both AOE search skill (radar); one for searching monsters she has met before, one for searching members with the same Falna from the same Familia deity. She got Bell’s living weapon and recovered all their gears. Meanwhile, while sneaking around, she found out about Haruhime’s about to be sacrificed. She met up with Bell and Haruhime, but at the same time Aisha showed up and captured Haruhime. Here Aisha revealed she is charmed and cannot disobey Ishtar, despite herself having ruined another Sesshouseki before.

Bell and Mikoto ran, but solidify their conviction to rescue their friend.

Here, Takemikazuchi explain the stone. The one picture that everyone got confused with "mini-Ottarl" is actually a mini-Reynard. This race has a special type of magic ability that Omori called Witchcraft (妖術) instead of Magic (魔法) that is often associated with elves. What Ishtar attempted to do is to create Sesshouseki that everyone can use. To do so, she needs the soul of Reynard. The stone can be fragmented to have magic effects just as powerful as Crozzo's magic swords. As such, Ishtar wanted to sacrifice Haruhime’s soul into the stone.

On the other hand, word finally reached Freya and she decided that Ishtar went too far (Bell is the one thing that she absolutely must have). She sent out her Familia to crush the entire red light district, which was all under Ishtar’s control previously. Hestia and Takemikazuchi tried to reach, or fight, to where Bell is.

Long fight scenes follow. Bell got captured (to buy time for Mikoto), but Ishtar’s charm doesn’t work because of Realis Phrase. She used a potion to read Bell’s status (the one mentioned in Oratoria 2, which I don’t remember name at the moment). Meanwhile, Mikoto tried to reach Haruhime and failed. She found pretty hard and end up suicide bombing and taking out a lot of Ishtar members (including Level 3) while buying time for Bell to escape Ishtar. Bell crushed the stone, pissing off Phryne. Somewhat touching scene after Haruhime boosted Bell’s level. Aisha grabbed Haruhime while Phryne chased Bell.

Freya’s Familia arrived and pretty much curbstomped everything. The key officers include Ottarl, 4 Parum, a dark and white elf sibling, and another cat person. Phryne was crushed by these guys for insulting Freya. Meanwhile, Bell has 1v1 with Aisha (after Level boost expired). Bell won. Freya pretty much charmed all Ishtar’s guards against her, and she killed Ishtar at the end herself. When a deities die, they return to heaven and cannot come back down again. Hermes revealed this is all keikaku doori.

Epilogue, all the male gods cry about not having the red light district anymore, and Freya paid heavy monetary penalties for her action. Haruhime joined Bell and asked him to take care of her forever.

TL;DR: Great volume, once you get past around pg. 257 you won't stop. Omori's editor said the plot reads like a theatrical episode of a story. Next volume should be more on "daily lives" rather than something so "calorie consuming".
