But if they make another season of SAO, then how are they going to get around Asuna's lack of appearance in the Phantom Bullet arc? I highly doubt they're going to oust Asuna from Kirito's side for Shino , but having the main heroine of the show absent from most of the beginning of the series would be kinda dumb on all fronts.

Unless they try and mix Mother's Rosario in the series while Kirito is in GGO for Phantom Bullet. But that would feel rather awkward, especially for the anime-only viewers.

Or better yet, rework Phantom Bullet around to include Asuna in it. Get her out of that sideline seat. (no, seriously ) But they didn't do it for Fairy Dance, so I don't see them coming up with any incentive for this option here.

Why would they do that?

Yes, from the context, it's most likely Kayaba.

Well, the ending went smoothly and stayed truly faithful to the LN (I did notice that there was no specific mentioning of the fact that the flying time limit in ALO was removed, but I suppose the audience shouldn't be fed absolutely everything). And now, I look forward to a hopeful season 2 (with everyone's favorite cool, calm and collected sniper) and to the translations for the new volume.

Why do people think Kayaba? Why would he be sad about Kayaba? He was obviously remembering Sachi.

Yui smiled at him, so we can say that it wasn't a female. Otherwise she would have been mad at him for thinking about other girls when he was with mama.

She didn't have a reaction in the novel, though. And besides, she would know what happened with Sachi, so if he had finally, truly come to terms with her death, then she'd be happy.

That's actually a really good point. Whatever he said it was something inspiring, I think. I don't think it had anything to do with either Kayaba or Sachi. Just some cool words.

Read the line in the novel again. He was downcast right before saying it, and it appeared to be a name.

Well, the anime has its own interpretation and you can clearly see he says more than just one word/name.

How can Sachi got dragged into this..... I think Kayaba's way more fitting than Sachi.
