If they're going full Jetman, then Goto's girlfriend will come back as a brainwashed villain. How old is Goto? He's been like this since he was 17... this is crazy. I'm surprised he's been able to live a seemingly normal life.
Not sure what's going on with the kid at the end. Does he want Samurai Flamenco to come back so badly he became a villain? Anyway, there's something seriously off with the current state of the world, the episode highlighted it enough. There's no way humans are going to achieve peace so easily. Is the universe fulfilling Masayoshi's wishes again?

This episode. Goto, my heart goes out to you. People called it. But still it was painful to see that play out. Mari needed that, honestly. And truth be told Goto needs to accept things, so I understand where Mari was coming from but at the same time he has to do it at his own pace. I also can totally see his girlfriend coming back as villain.

This is a bit "out there", but I still wouldn't be surprised if Goto's girlfriend is Sumi. If you look at the basic character design of Goto's high school girlfriend, she could pass for a teenage Sumi (minus the lack of face from the smile up, of course ). And unless I'm forgetting a scene, I think that Goto hasn't shared a single scene with Sumi the entire anime, which raises eyebrows/suspicions for me. Perhaps something happened to Goto's girlfriend to cause her to lose her memory, and she somehow became Sumi. On the other hand, I'd almost prefer it she's not Sumi, since this episode lightly hinted at a possible Hazama/Sumi relationship, which would be nice, I think. In any event, it was great to have an episode focusing a lot on Goto and Mari. We haven't seen that in awhile, really. I find it odd that Hazama's world is now said to lack evil entirely. I thought that the Universal Will would just make the world normal, and so it would still have normal amounts of crime, anger, conflict. Perhaps Hazama's wishes are still being granted, and so the world didn't stop at just being normal.

Before the stinger, I was thinking that Hazama would make it his final mission as Samurai Flamenco to help Goto find his girlfriend. If not that, then at least help him get some closure.
And I noticed that as well, Ishihara has never been in a scene or interacted with Goto. Maybe it's leading to something bigger like you said. But I agree with on you how things with her character should play out. Who else laughed when Konno told that guy to go find him a dead body?

Finally caught up with the episodes I didn't watch yet.
"People tend to be more honest on river embankments" LOL Its funny because its true. That cliche is used so much that it should be illegal. The English outbursts every now & then kinda emphasized Alien Flemenco's little speech, it was how do I put it, attention grabbing? Finally got to see the Samumenco suit from OP1. Didn't expect to see it in action, in space though. *_* The will of the universe. Flamenco/Flamwenco actually has a purpose? So it wasn't just coincidence that EVERYTHING is flamenco? LOL But still, the reason for Flamenco is a stupid one. -_- -------------------------- Next Episode: He's the world president. Aite, that's pretty cool. Wow, losing his gf hit Goto real hard. I feel it for the dude. Still, since no body has been found, the possibility of her still being alive is likely. His level of denial is extreme. He either needs to move on or find closure, but finding closure is hard when you don't even know if she's dead or alive. Poor Mari, she's fallen for him & is losing to his phone. Man, that kid was creepy. He's one of those obsessive fans. I award points for reciting that speech like a badass & nailing it all so perfectly right in time for the explosion. ---------------------------- Yea, I was wrong for losing hope in this show. Its honestly once again gripped my attention & regained my interest.

Final boss???
Hi I'm new to the board and this is my first time writing a post here. As for what going to happen in the next episode, it appear Flamenco have created his own Joker.
I think this superhero phase is the moral and consequences of being a hero, that we saw in Batman. When Bruce Wayne put on the cape and fight crime, it gave birth to a lot of his rouge gallery, like we saw with Torture and From Beyond but Flamenco words to that young kid from episode 1 may twisted him to commit crime just like when Batman, not on purpose, push the Red hood into that chemical pool and created the Joker! |

If she turns out to be his missing girlfriend, then I call retcon. She does look similar to his girlfriend, I'll admit that, but the fact that he's this obsessed with his girlfriend & didn't see her image/likeness in Ishihara, leads me to believe that the similarities in character design is just a coincidence. Like I said, if she's confirmed to be his girlfriend, its most definitely a retcon.

Forgot about that. What if Goto's girlfriend has some connection to whoever killed Masayoshi's parents?

At this point, anything is possible. This show so many twists that Idk what to think anymore. This show has successfully surpassed all my expectations & episodes took directions that I'd never imagine even in my wildest dreams. With the final 3 episodes, I'm just going for the ride & not gonna think about it too much. I'll see them for what they're intended to be & not try to predict them.

So I'm going to drop the "Sumi is Goto's old girlfriend" theory since that would indeed require a retcon now, and I'd rather not have a retcon be necessary (this anime has been impressively tight when it comes to not needing retcons). Good news here is that this makes it more likely for a Hazama/Sumi relationship to blossom. That would be a nice twist. It might be good to tie these two hanging plot threads together.

Whew, that was a bit deeper than expected. I really feel for Gotou.
Please please PLEASE let Masayoshi x Sumi happen. I'm so glad Mari brought it up. Thank you Mari. Thank you. I think I'm missing something, who was that kid at the end? The name didn't sound familiar. |
