How about rebuilding the 38 (t) Hetzer for one with a better engine? I was thinking for some time that in a second season in an international tournament would be cool if Ooarai mounts to three groups of four tanks, a group of light tanks as 38 (t) Hetzer and others for reconnaissance, escort and guerrilla, a group of medium tanks like the Panzer IV for rapid response missions and a group of heavy tanks like the Tiger or Panther to heavy fire.

That's not within Oarai's means at this point. Also, I think that they're better served if they keep the Pz38(t) as it is rather than turn it into another tank destroyer, as not only would they lose a good scout, the lack of a traversible turret limits its role.

Yeah, I was actually hoping to have the 38(t) be rebuilt as the Hetzer. I don't know if the producers think having 1 tank destroyer is already too much, but the Hetzer was a proven design in many aspects. A shame if they don't include it.

Then again, we will need an episode where the girls scavenge-hunt again and suddenly discover salvageable parts.

The girls got lucky with the 38(t) in this episode, but its more of an exception, not a rule. As far as being a scout, the Hetzer has roughly the same speed as the 38(t), and can be better hidden, as well.

Not to mention that with the armor more inclined to defensive capability improves a bit and with a better gun, the Hetzer should be great for hit and run operations. However, this tank has some traction problems right?

Not that I know of, since it was built on a rather proven chassis, it managed to avoid the mechanical problems of most newly-introduced armors.

I have to wonder about the Chi-Nu though, so I'm going to have to ask the opinions of the treadheads here. It seems to be armed with a 75 mm gun, which puts it at the same kind of damage-dealing potential as both the Stug III and the PanzerIV Ausf-F2, but can it take the hits as much as it can deal it -- even theoretically seeing as the tank never actually seen battle. I've read elsewhere that even the default Sherman can shred it, nevermind a Panzer IV or Tiger that Black Forest will likely field.

If I am judging the armor correctly, the Type 3 should be equivalent to the Panzer 38(t) with a gun like the upgraded Panzer IV.

It was the best the Japanese built. But compared to most other countries, that isn't saying much.

It was built to take on M4 Shermans....well actually it was the stop-gap to take on Shermans...the Type 4 Chi-To was to be the one to stop the Sherman, but those were not ready in time, only two built.

Chi-Nu was built on Type 97's chassis with the gun of Panzer IV, no wonder if M4's default gun can shred it's armor easily, but still better than Type 89 which they are using. The gun 75mm L/38 is fine to against light and medium tanks.

No. They still only shows up in OP theme briefly, and in this new episode's ED theme as mini-charactors. We're still don't know who they are, Rumor everywhere, but still in mystery.
Some says, they're new comers, or Miho's classmate who joins Sensha-Do new. But some says they're former Ooarai Sensya-Do team in 20 years ago, will appear in someone's memory. But these rumor is still rumor. Please wait for next episode.

ha thank you and I agree board not thought about how she could be older club member tank, but if they are classmates I think it's because others have found 2 tank? the second had still no girls on board so I guess that will have those 3

BTW, the blonde girl of new three was draw in old tyle similiar to Galaxy Express series's art style, I why wonder why?, not mention the grey hair girl has abnormal big boobs for a normal school girl
