A different ending would be nice, the series end left me going "OK, this was cool, but what now?"

Yeah, I felt the same way about it. Hopefully we get something more definitive ending.

It's not going to be a "different" ending, but it's going to continue beyond the TV ending. That's my understanding anyway.

So, it has been a week since the movie premiered, does anyone know what happen, if so can someone post about it or to where to talk about the spoilers?

But trailers show city. I really doubt that would be less than 10 minutes.

It is. The opening prologue is all new (the city fight shown in the trailers) and its about 5-10 minutes. Then the rest of the movie is a 2 hour plus recap of the entire TV series. Then there's some new stuff during the credits which tie stuff up and leave it open for a second season if they want to do one apparently. It generally sounds pretty disappointing if people are expecting tons of new stuff.

There are 5 new enemy Cybodies, the new Tauburn, and new costumes for the 3 main characters and the other 3 maidens. It's all part of the elaborate opening sequence in Shinjuku which is about 5-10 minutes long and mostly action. From what I heard, that's about it.

Looks like my hopes and expectations were sadly misplaced.

I would like a threesome ending
It's a shame that there's so little of the new parts considering that the promos gave hopes for a bit more...

Why they can't make a whole new movie
Star driver is from 2009/2010 , we are in 2013
Basically in three years they could produce at least a 45 minutes film.
damned !

Money. It's possible that they started out with more ambitious plans, but had to pare down to this movie.

It's sad

The best move is to make a prequel or a compilation movie and then a real new movie/years after and conclude the series (who said gundam 00 or frontier ?)

Agreed. If they aren't going to do a second season, then they could at least do a second movie or OVA to give something more definite. I wouldn't mind seeing them do what Macross Frontier did. The movie just seems disappointing in terms of what it had the potential to do.
