The last two standing would be Sae and the terrorist Turns out they never intended to capture White Knight, they just wanted the IS to show its evolution capability. This made one of the soldiers snap and thus became the terrorist.

- Phantom Task (wanting to steal Athena for their own)
- Soldiers of Country A (on the pretext of "recovering a stolen unit")

Okay, here's what I posted a few weeks ago.

Spoiler for Resuscitator and Vitalizer:

Resuscitator:
This ability allows a Silverback to restore the energy shield of a downed Silverback from a distance. Even though it restores a Silverback's energy shield, it cannot be used for self-restoration.

Vitalizer:
An upgraded version of the Resuscitator. This ability allows a Silverback to restore the energy shield of multiple down Silverbacks at once from a distance. Not only it restores the energy shield, it'll also reset the amount of downs a Silverback has to 0. But just like with the Resuscitator, it cannot be used for self-restoration.

When the Silverback's energy shield breaks, the Silverback is downed.

This is caused by the Silverback Spark shutting down mostly all of it's functions (including the Resuscitator and Vitalizer) so the Spark can concentrate on restoring the energy shield.

Both have a set cooldown time before they can be used again.

I'm thinking of giving these exclusively to Brian "Ratchet" Mclurg's Silverback.

Allright, I can see quite a handful of video game elements in there. Though you may need to consider a few things;

-The Vitalizer may be able to reset the number of downs to 0 but what if the Silverback that's being "healed" is in no condition to resume combat?

There may be a moment that the Silverback would get heavily damaged that the unit's energy shield component itself gets wrecked.

- How would these equipment work? Would it run out of power after a number of uses? Granted, you included a cooldown period of vulnerability but what if Ratchet remains practically guarded throughout the battle?

Going by the description, I would see it as the Silverbacks, in the right combat scenario, being practically unbeatable until someone tackles Ratchet first.

- Going back to the first point, in what way does the equipment "reset" the Silverback's downs to 0? Does it somehow (Nano) repairs the Silverback's damages allowing it to get back in the game at full power and armor?

Unless stated otherwise, then as I mentioned in the second point, the Silverbacks would be close to unbeatable if they use the right tactics... until someone smart starts going for Ratchet.

Jinrai has little history aside from being a former member of a secretive Research and Development organisation focusing on the development of Infinite Stratos technology. He was part of the team responsible for the development of the would-be [Byakushiki] prior to the discovery of a fatal flaw that forces the team to drop the ball and discard the unit’s frame.

During the IS’ development, Jinrai focuses on the development of the armament and optional equipment for the unit, which was then called [Shiroken] (“White Sword”). From melee to ranged weapons, both solid and energy-based, Jinrai would develop a series of prototype weapons for the [Shiroken].

However, his colleagues who were developing the [Shiroken] IS itself eventually discarded the frame after they discovered a fatal flaw while trying to fabricate a unique feature for the [Shiroken] known as an IS’ [One Off Ability], causing the project to tank and the team dismissed.

Following the project’s failure, Jinrai would see to the disposal of his prototype equipment, orchestrating their destruction along with fake copies of their schematics while the genuine schematics are secretly kept in his possession.

Jinrai would then meet Arktavit Instus employee Gerald Bastion, whom somehow knows of his former affiliation with the [Shiroken] IS development team and requests his service to a certain “Bouclier Project”.

Not willing to waste his talents and the schematics, Jinrai would agree and together with Gerald sharing his knowledge of Arktavit Instus’ humanoid robot [Tanaka] that was developed by Naomi Arisawa and Kazuya Arisawa, whom Jinrai remembers as a former classmate and a friend, he takes up the obligation to be part of the “Bouclier Project”.

Jinrai would then successfully develop his first Experimental Arms (Ex-Arms) prototype unit, the EXA-01 [Minerva], a powered combat armour which the design is based off the [Tanaka]. He would also develop the [Minerva] as a modular unit that can be integrated with his own series of equipment.

Shortly after the completion of the [Minerva], Jinrai would receive notice from Gerald, who received explicit instructions from the “Athena Programme” team to have a specific individual be the pilot of the [Minerva], which is dubbed as the flagship of the “Bouclier Project”.

Alongside Gerald, Jinrai would seek the individual, Inami Arisawa who has just turned 12 and is living in the care of the Katami family. His initial request to have Inami under his care would meet with great protest from the family, especially their sole daughter, Tsurugi Katami who’s also 12 years old at that point.

Soon, Jinrai and Gerald, living in a makeshift base of operations in a secret location, would receive warning of an impending threat; mysterious drones that resemble Arktavit Instus’ [Tanaka] robot invading mainland Japan in search of something.

Adhering to explicit instructions from the “Athena Programme” team, Jinrai and Gerald then make haste to Tanaka where the drones are, bringing along the [Minerva], to ensure Inami’s safety. The drones would then turn hostile, indiscriminately attacking the town’s residences including the Katami’s.

Jinrai unconditionally allows Inami to pilot the [Minerva] in order to stop the drones, leading to swift dispatch of the hostiles. However, following Tsurugi’s severe injury during the attack, Inami would choose to follow Jinrai, agreeing to pilot the [Minerva] so as to protect the ones he holds dear.

Four years after that fateful day, Jinrai has developed a range of armaments that Inami would learn to utilise during that timeframe. Their scanners would then pick up a couple of unknown units, bearing the appearance of pitch-black humanoid drones advancing towards the Infinite Stratos Academy.

As per Gerald’s instructions and Inami’s willingness to act, Jinrai would once again arm the [Minerva] for combat against the new apparent threat, which suspiciously resembles the Infinite Stratos themselves.

A special system, design for educational purpose. Multiply sensors are attached throughout the back of the pilot, following his/her spine (and even the fingers, toe and head). In the same time, nano machine from the sensors is injected to the pilot's skin and blood veins. The system is designed so that even the slightest movement (and pilot's stats, fatigue, even neuron respond) could triggered an immidiately action from a Combat Data Library, thus assiting Novice Pilot to effectively control an IS.

Gerald is not unlike any other employee of the Arktavit Instus technological institute; Hardworking, plenty knowledgeable, team player. He works at the military technology section of the institute as Senior Advisor, imparting his knowledge from his military background as a former commanding officer.

With his vast knowledge on known military strategies, Gerald spends his time researching on radar networks and early warning systems. One of his known projects is a 3-dimensional web repulse radar system that has a very wide detection network, wider than most military radar systems, and is capable of silhouette scanning and detecting stealth fighters from as far as the radar range goes.

A fellow employee, Ryan Clause, works in the same section as him and would often seek his advice for his own projects. However, both of them work on opposing philosophies. While Gerald focuses on defensive features, Ryan focuses on workarounds for present military radar networks, raising awareness for any found flaw or loopholes that would compromise the equipment’s capability.

Gerald also took part in the development of the deep-space exploration Space Shuttle [Stargazer] where he meets Naomi Arisawa, one of the key members of the project. Utilising the prototype web repulse radar system, the [Stargazer] was capable of detecting and evading asteroids during its maiden journey around the Moon and back.

Things start to go awry when the Infinite Stratos [White Knight] made its debut.

On that fateful day, he was at a ballistic missile base alongside Naomi, her husband Kazuya Arisawa and a few other Arktavit Instus personnel. A misfired ballistic missile that fall prey to a worldwide hack event goes off and decimated a portion of the base, killing Kazuya and presumably Naomi as well since only the former’s body was found.

Gerald, grieved by the sudden tragedy, decides to hold the Arisawas’ child, Inami Arisawa, under his care. He would head to Japan where both Inami and himself attend the funeral for Kazuya and Naomi, even though the latter’s body was never found.

Without any information of the deceased couple’s next of kin, Gerald would stay with Inami in Japan for weeks before being recalled back to Arktavit Instus by the institute’s Head Director. Fearing for Inami’s safety, he places him under the care of an orphanage in Tanaka, Inami’s hometown.

Upon his return to Arktavit Instus, Gerald would then be summoned straight to the board of directors’ meeting room where he meets the Head Director in person. He would receive a small package in the shape of a sealed titanium container which at that point, the Head Director unveils the “Athena Programme” to him.

The Head Director would appoint Gerald as the programme’s liaison and instructs him to discreetly deliver the package to a secret location in Japan where the rest of the personnel involved in the “Athena Programme” awaits.

Upon arrival to the designated area, Gerald’s introduced to the Head Project of the “Athena Programme”, Sae Katami and personally hands over the package he received from the Arktavit Instus’ Head Director.

Gerald would soon realise that the package was actually an Infinite Stratos Core, the most vital part of the “Athena Programme”. Sae would stress the importance of the project and that secrecy must be maintained no matter what, a condition Gerald readily complies to.

Amongst the “Athena Programme” development team, he would also meet a strangely familiar figure who wishes to be known as “Nao”. With Sae’s approval, Nao would personally delegate Gerald with a special task known as the “Bouclier Project”.

Acknowledging Gerald’s forte as a Senior Advisor and a former commanding officer, Nao would instruct him to seek the first of two specific individuals who are deemed vital to the “Bouclier Project”. She would also give him schematics of a humanoid robot which she affectionately calls [Tanaka] along with some written instructions meant for the person he would be seeking, adding that the individual would “be familiar of her late husband”.

Gerald would spend some time looking up on the individual’s particulars and whereabouts, eventually tracking him down to an apartment. The individual, Jinrai Takafumi, hesitantly receives the written instructions but ultimately complies when Gerald explains the situation and hands him [Tanaka’s] schematic.

Over the course of a few years, Gerald would oversee Jinrai’s development of the “Bouclier Project’s” flagship unit, the [Minerva]. He would then return to the “Athena Programme” team to relay the news to Nao, who then gives him the name of the second individual he needs to seek. Gerald would then be surprised for he is greatly familiar with the second individual’s identity, who is none other than Inami.

Gerald promptly makes his way to the orphanage where he previously left Inami, only to learn the fact that he has been adopted by another family. Upon enquiring to the orphanage of the family’s whereabouts, he would then realise a familiar surname, Katami.

Along with Jinrai, Gerald would make his way to the Katami family’s residence where Jinrai makes the request to reclaim Inami and have him under his custody, only to be met with complete protest from the family.

From within their makeshift base of operations, Gerald and Jinrai would be alerted, via a 3-dimensional web repulse radar system that the former built, that a trio of mysterious drones suspiciously resembling the [Tanaka] robot, which Nao gave the schematic of, are invading the town of Tanaka.

Following Nao’s instructions of ensuring Inami’s safety for he’s deemed vital to the “Bouclier Project”, Gerald would make his way to the Katami’s residence once again along with Jinrai, whom also brought along the [Minerva] unit.

Shortly after Inami’s swift dispatch of the drones and following request to join him and Jinrai, Gerald takes Inami under his care. With both Jinrai and Inami recruited, he would form the renegade group “Praxidike” which would serve as cover for the “Bouclier Project”.

Over barely half a decade later, Gerald would receive news of Sae’s demise from Nao along with additional tasks as part of the “Bouclier Project”. Grieved by the unfortunate news, Gerald renews his vow to uphold his part in the “Athena Programme”.

Soon, Gerald’s web repulse radar system would detect new unknown signatures; twin identical humanoid units, bearing a pitch-black colour scheme and the appearance of a typical Infinite Stratos unit, heading straight for the Infinite Stratos Academy.

Gerald would mobilise Praxidike against the new apparent threat and adhering to the additional tasks Nao has delegated to the group; ensuring that no harm would befall upon the Infinite Stratos Academy or its students... especially one of them, whom Nao describes as being “blood-related to Sae”.

Can't complain though, mods have that immunity. You can try reporting the mod for random ban-hammering, but Asuki's stance as always been a mod's decision is final, so the ticket most likely won't do anything.
