Crunchyroll: Gaga Bunko has previewed the cover for Imouto sae Ireba Ii, the light novel from Haganai writer Yomi Hirasaka and HENNEKO illustrator Kantoku. Debuting March 18th, it follows siscon novelist Itsuki Hashima, his perfect sibling Chihiro, obssessed genius illustrator Kani Nayuta, peer/friend Shirakawa Kyoto and other crazy figures from the publishing industry.

But then it's the LN/Anime/Manga that sucks, not the genre. Even something perfect, on the hands of incompetent people, can become crappy.

Even the genre itself can be boring if it's handled bad. You can have a decent setting but if the elements are not well handled then it ends up as tedious.

Though I still enjoy these kind of works anyway.

Let's not kid ourselves. Harems and the like are an irreplaceable component of stories. You can't have a story without characters and you can't have characters without interactions, which in turn lead to relationships. When you a have a male and a female in a relationship, you can't avoid addressing the possibility of romance. In the end, stories without romance are just incredibly dull.

Don't you hate it when the MC picks a girl who treats him like dirt, just because she happens to show her sad, lonely vulnerable side once in a blue moon?

Titled Imouto sae ga ireba ii, this new LN will be focusing on an older brother who happens to be an author who gets frustrated by the reviews of his work on Amazon. Oh, and he is also a siscon who dotes on his little sister a lot.

BUT, does the main character really have to be a novelist? Teenage light novel authors are pushing my verisimilitude hard. After Eromanga-sensei, is this a new trend or something?

I'm okay with teenage authors, but it doesn't make it very believable when the authors of teenage author stories are, well, not-so-very-good writers themselves. Like, guys, you can't convince me a fifteen years old transplant from some magical elven realm is making bestsellers, when you have a middling grasp of prose and poetry yourself. Come back when you can teach Natsume Soseki a lesson or two on how to be a cool cat.

I know that Masashi pulled off the second one but, I don't think he did the first one did he, I think the first one applies to the Zero Tsukaima anime for best example, And God did I hate the anime ending, any guy with half a brain would choose the Elf or the Princess or the Maid. All three of them are justified great choices, why'd anyone pick Louise(unless you one hell of a Masochist) escapes me
