You need not worry much as you get to vote for THREE characters per group in the first round.

The first round match ups has been regenerated due to addition of more than 80 characters who were recently ruled to be eligible. Please log in at http://moet.anizone.net/ and recheck the match ups.

The English version of the match-up page says we can vote for up to three characters. Is that in error?
I really hope it is three rather than two because many of the characters I am personally interested in are concentrated in a few groups, while a number of the other groups consist entirely of characters I either don't know or don't especially care about.

That's 3 I think...

At present it is too early to talk about upsets.

Three is correct. My mistake

Seeding for further matches will still be random? Or will they wise up and use some sort of statistics formulae to seed candidates?

Random I think.

It's funnier that way.

One of my favorite parts of the Korean Best Moe was getting screwed by the randomizer.

And what? Always seeing Shana vs. Suiseiseki, but never seeing those two in a finals match?

I don't care about Shana vs Suiseiseki.

And to add a seeding system to ensure we have a #1 vs #2 final match would make the tournament too... artificial? Perhaps another word would be more fitting...

I'm not too sure how excited are tennis fans to have Roger Federer vs Rafael Nadal every big tournament...

But Federer vs. Nadal is the only time I ever watch Tennis (Big Nadal fan), just as Shana vs. Suiseiseki was the first reason I started ISML in the first place.

We had this discussion last year. When brought up, the K Saimoe organisers explicitly said they wanted it random not seeded. It ain't Saimoe if there isn't agony and pain throughout the entire tournament~

Only about a week left!
Meh, there are too many characters participating for prelim round 1 so I'll wait until prelim round 1 is over.

Groups 1-6: This is the pits. I would be very happy to trade in every single one of my votes in Groups 2, 4, and 6 for two extra votes in Group 3. I know that the group assignments are random, so this is just more proof that the Supreme Deck of the Universe is stacked against me. And all the cards are marked. And the dealer cheats That said, I would still enjoy knee-capping whoever created these groups just on general principles.

Heh. Indeed, there are at least five characters I wouldn't feel bad voting for in Group 3, with barely anyone in the other groups. But I'll just set the moe cut-off point higher then, and be left with two.

Name one of your picks who isn't Maka or Aono and I'll support her for you.
