How the noob fall face first into the dirt on his first sortie [and after smashing into the Studio Nue building ]. Goes to show that it's not always possible to be badass on the first try. [eat that Emo-Gundam pilot].

The WTF look on Misa's face when she finds out she just sent a civillian into a battlefield. Old Maid comment afterwards will colour their relationship for a long time to come.

The WTF look on Misa's face when she finds out the same civ. just received a medal for saving her ass on Mars. Promotion included.

Zentradi Commander vs VF [Round 2]. End result. 2 batroids trashed- one by metal pipe, the other torn to pieces BY HAND. Enters books as the Giant Badass of Legend. And that's after surviving space vacumm and radiation.

Epic argument by the 2 leads cause splitting headache to all onlookers.

Zentradi Baiting round 1: Misa has a titanium spine when she knows she's right. Pity her result roll came to enrage instead of confusion. Thankfully, Hikaru managed to roll the save vs crushing.

That leads to Zentradi Baiting round 2. Successful roll for confusion , participants likely using surrogates to facilitate demonstration in the beginning. IMO, soldier boy here made it so good that there was a repeat performance

Going into Zentradi Baiting round 3. Failed roll. Target was NOT zentradi Misunderstanding afterwards was classic.

Before that. There are somethings that are common to all human form races, as Max discovered. That being the design of their squatting toilets... [took me 20 years to figure that one out].

Giant Zentradi can roll successfully for stealth action.

More: Zentradi infiltrators realising that there is a reason why terran men and women wear different clothes. Oh, and they discover girls [when Exedol discovers girls, it's even better- carries over to M7 ]. When Quamzin discovers girls... more earthquakes in South America. Goes to show that sometimes Idols aren't nessesary for widespread social and cultural change.

As for Daedalus, I'm doubtful they could have rigged for quiet in time... and Prometheus was a gone case, because her captain is an aircraft carrier captain, and he's going to leave his carrier up where he can launch fighters because thats what a carrier is for. He did the right thing... which unexpectedly backfired on him.

Rewatching SDF Macross. The animation gaffs are astounding [disappearing bullet holes, incomplete cells] though the charm is still there.

One thing I just realised about Capt. Global: though he isn't as tactically sophisticated as the UN Government and the Zentradi, this guy is the master of PR manipulation

Ordinarily, any defector or infiltrator would have been thrown into the brig, locked down in quarantine or just spaced from an airlock. It was a stroke of genius to take advantage of the Zentradi curiosity and bombard them with cheap kung fu movies and real life soap opera To top it off, the show he put together for Max and Miriya's wedding is simply classic. Imagine setting aside several squadrens, the carrier deck and running a media circus just for that.

I imagine the UN Spacey command must be face palming themselves when they realise that they have no way of controlling this man anymore

Basically, the captian has got his own country to rule in space with 50k civilians, a private army, media station and complete autonomy to do as he sees fit. At least he has the Hat, the Iron balls and Cheeky charisma to attempt to culture a militant alien race

So I finally found the time to watch SDFM, and I just finished watching episode 25 last Saturday. (hehehehehe) I hope to finish 26 to 36 by the end of this week just in time for the subs of MF Episode 25 to come out.

BTW....My Jumbled Thoughts on the 25 episodes of SDFM I've watched so far:

* Kaifun is GHEY!!!! That punk really needs to die, IMHO. He really earned by ire when he talked trash to my childhood hero, Roy Fokker, the most GAR character of SDFM. To add insult to injury Kaifun made those remarks to Roy on Episode 18, teh Pineapple Salad episode. Peacenik PUNK!!!!

* FAST Pack makes its debut!!! Quite a short debut though.

* Laplamiz is as HOT as Millia, IMHO. So does that mean I was a Kamjin clone in another life? LOL!!!

* Vrlitwhai Kridanik is DA MAN!!!! IMHO, second most GAR character in SDFM.

* Mecha to Mecha Combat, VF Video Game & finally Knife Fight as Mating Rituals is so AWESOME!!!!

* VF-1 Honor Guard FTW!!!!

* Misa Hayase!!!! Nuff said.

Advisor Exsedol the Man of the Hour, The guy just knows what to say in a desperate situation

Watching again episode 26 of Macross and Macross 7 Encore :The Fleet of Strongest Women makes me realize Exsedol is bloody brilliant.

When Global and company were feeling this is the end with Bodolzaa's fleet coming Exsedol suddenly tells them this is not their last.

He reminds them that the Macross alone stood up to the Zentradi fleet.

A five million to a thousand odds of survival but they shouldn't lose hope.


In The Fleet of Strongest Women Exsedol seeming took orders from UN Spacy HQ to blow up Chlore's fleet with the Macross cannon. When the Macross cannon fire it hit nothing. Giving Basara the chance to culture shock the Meltrans.

He gave Miho the coordinates.

Excusedly saying to the Earth UN Spacy big shot he made a mistake and he is not fit for fleet command duty.

Makes me think Exsedol would have made an excellent statesman if he weren't the type to support his commander.

Not to completely geek out , but when exactly is launch day (Space Fold)? I've tried google searching but all I keep puling up is Robotech dates, which I'm not sure if I can go with or not.

I'll bet when they animated this they figured 2009 was way far enough in the future. It's as humorous as when watching U.F.O. and space 1999 -- I don't remember seeing any Eagles flying about, and I certainly haven't seen any valks. :}
