By 'spot' I guess you mean 'detect by the average gamer'; I suspect proper software tools, as I believe Blizzard's team uses, would pick them up right off.

Specifically, it's the coincidental similarity of hairstyle and region-of-origin, but I don't think a piece of DLC for each game that gives the lasses each other's outfit as an alternative would be unwelcome. Yeah I mean people watching the kill cam will be less likely to spot cheaters using software like that in the vid I linked, and as a result less likely to report people cheating compared to say those using a completely obvious aimbot.

When does this Symmetra update take effect? Or has it already happened? I played Overwatch the other week, but didn't seem like it took effect yet though.

It hasn't taken effect (live), PTR only. It'll probably take effect in the week after the Christmas event.

It came with the Christmas event patch today. Season 3 started 2 weeks ago.

I'm scared to see Symmetra in action now. lol.

That stay as team feature would be amazing. It's so annoying to finally have a team you like, then immediately get reinstanced after a 2-3 win streak.

• Symmetra (when she has an average team) isn't going to accomplish anything.

Symmetra is pretty much always a 'good pick for the team' on any payload / hybrid / control point maps. As a defender, it really comes down to map design (where you can get down your shield generator). Assuming you pick a good spot and it doesn't get destroyed the shield generator (once it's up) will have nearly 100% up time.

That is the key thing with Shield generators. Even though a well-placed teleporter might be more beneficial to the team, it is far harder to hide a teleporter because of how close to the action it had to be. Together with the fact that Teleporters have limited number of uses, and that lead to Symmetra having to worry about and managing the teleporter.

A shield generator is basically placed and forget. Put it far enough away and it would be a waste of the enemy's time to hunt for it. A Symmetra would be able to focus on staying with the team and even get into the offensive with the moving forcefield.

Mei's new legendary skin, Mei-rry, might look like it should be an epic skin, but it has many of the features you'd expect of a legendary skin. Cryo-Freeze animation change so she now turns into an icy snowman, says "Happy Holidays" on occasion when performing an elimination, "You Have To Let It Go" voice line being modified (similar to Hanzo's Spirit Dragon voice line being modified when using Okami/Lone Wolf skins). Probably a whole lot of other things I've yet to see.

I've been unable to play the Mei snowball event at all. Every time it says I'm about to join a game, it doesn't then goes 'error unable to join game' every time...

Anyone else had this problem?
