KyoAni released details/images of their Comiket goods today and their Chuunibyou set includes a couple books that I personally want.

The set comes with a 100 pg production materials book (8 pgs color, 92 pg monochrome), a 40 pg Illustration Works Lite book containing illustrations, and a CD with wallpaper and sounds for your computer. Here's a glimpse of the CD:

This set will only be sold at Comiket 83 for 7,000 yen, but the two books will go on sale at the KyoAni Shop! sometime in the future.

I got the C83 set in the mail today... it's an interesting item to have. All of the artwork is based on the first 5-7 episodes of the series, I would say, before any sort of romantic, dramatic, or previously unseen artwork would have been created. Still, it's kind of cool. I like the computer wallpapers included, as they're done at 1920x1080 and look good.

I think I'll just hold out until the English BD release to get my hands on it. I spent way too much on BD Japanese releases in the past. Getting older means more responsibility with my cash. LOL

Key animation (line art) artbook is now available from the KyoAni Shop! for 4,000 yen. This 184 page book contains key animation from the notable scenes throughout all 12 episodes. It also contains the full key animation for all 24 eyecatches.

Gah I wanted that CD for my computer... Are there other ways to get it?

^Yeah, I'd like to have that as well. Getting it is the real problem, though, as I doubt they'll sell this through (to me) accessible retailers.

Edit: yup, no chance in hell of me getting that without having to jump through several hoops here...

Everyone will have to jump through hoops now. That CD was only given to purchasers of that set, so they would have to be willing to sell it via auction/second-hand stores. Even Japanese fans would have to bid via auctions/pray someone sells their copy to a store (though they don't have to use middlemen to do so).

So, you didn't notice the obvious Rikka figurine they're displaying on the front page? The one they'll probably be releasing exclusively through the KyoAni store?

That certainly wasn't there when I checked, which wasn't too long after Ryonea posted it. Looks like the website only updated yesterday with a of picture said figurine...

Uh... yeah, back then the site was only a teaser containing the yesterday date (May 31st) hence why I posted here since maybe someone knows what it'll be about before yesterday.

Well, I think it's really a KyoAni exclusive figure alright, just like Shoushitsu Nagato Yuki and K-ON! members.... I remember they also had a dedicated website like this. I should've known sooner.

How are the sales or reservation for the discs of the series?

I heard this second season isn't as popular as the first so in sites like MAL and ANN this series is expected to have a drop compared to the S1 sales and maybe even bomb.

The sales results for vol.1 are not out yet. It is expected to sell less than season 1 did but it won't sell badly.

Shichimiya's tears made people reluctant to buy the series and others to cancel the reservations. As expected, Kyoani, you're doing it wrong
