Why is there even a presumption that a transition to 3D a given? It's a different style and way to present the story. But that doesn't make it inherently superior or inferior to 2D animation.

This just sounds goofy. Anyone who likes 2D aesthetically is being conservative? This isn't some kind of linear progression in quality. Some people just want a cause to fight for .

Work in style, specially unless we reach Virtua Figther/Tekken 3D will not be touch so the games will be 2D and give that transition.

Plus the 3D animation is fine, is not that PS2.5 Esque like Berserk or Ken.

i was not talking about "quality" i was talking about "production benefits" 3d animation cost much less and can be done much more fast than 2d, both of them have they merites, but from a "commercial" point of view go full 3d is much better than 2d, qhen comes to quality both of them can pull awesomeness specially nowadays where you have "tools" to help 2d animation be "more fast and easy to work like bones system to avoid have to draw each frame handwork, which take much time and efforts than 3d, while 2d still a valid option and a good one, as the 3d market improve at long term things will just move it at one point or the ammount of 2d material can decrease as the 3d increase the game and move market are good exemples of it, where 2d animation is no more "strong" at it was in the past and we have the 3d being much more used.

good trailer, seems to capture the essence of the manga perfectly.

Still no simulcast announced? I have a bad feeling. I seriously hope Netflix hasn't licensed this.

I think if they were to do that, they would have warned in the anime expo this year, it's not uncommon for crunchyroll or amazon to say they bought the distribution rights one day before the series premiere in Japan.

Well, in the worst case it will be like Saiki, that had no streming outside of Japan.

I don't think it will end up like Saiki (I'm very grateful to the fansubbers who worked on it. They did an amazing job) since High Score Girl seems like one of the most anticipated anime of the season, which I guess means we'll get subs one way or another anyway.

I'm most likely worried over nothing. There's still time until the broadcast.
