My favorite Shock Troopers gameplay wise were, ironically, both guys. Hannes and Vyse.

Hannes (or as me and my friends like to call him, Rambo) not only gets improved accuracy against Imps -aka pretty much every enemy in the game- but also has the Ultimate Damage potential, making him one of the best boss-killers in the game.

And come on, he's frikin Rambo.

Vyse is pretty much a prime example of a Shock Trooper in the form of his Challenge Lover potential, which gives him extra damage for charging head-first into an enemy. That, and he looks awesome.

Of course, this was on my first playthrough. I plan to make an entirely different squad on my second and see how they work out.

The DLC is coming to the US?

SWEETNESS. I hope it comes out while I'm home so I can play it right away.

A reminder here too. This is going to be a pain because so many people looking forward to the anime have already played the game. But please remember the board's policy about topics and spoilers. This is the anime thread. If you want to talk about the game, or speculate about the anime based on the game, please go to the game thread. Incidentally, there is also a manga thread. This should be a thread where those who haven't yet played the game can participate and not risk being spoiled, and it isn't okay just to throw everything behind spoiler tags.

Thanks for your understanding!

I love you, Bunta.

However you might want to put that third image in spoiler tags.

Here's one I've got. Heh, the Woodland Snare was one of my favourite chapters.

Haha yeah it would be great. It just seems like such an innocent scene. I know he's trying to sneak a peak but it just seems so out of character of Welkin that it's good.

I'm hoping they remember to have the following.

They're also gonna need "What kind of girl wants to hear that she looks like a bug?"

That was such a funny moment.

Please, everyone, listen and heed relentlessflame's reminder. Some of us would like to watch the series unspoiled by all you gamers' prior knowledge.

With the feeling I'm getting from this the non-gamers might not have to worry that anything is getting spoiled.

I just don't like what I'm hearing. I don't want a 1-for-1 copy but I sure as hell don't want an afternoon soap.

Doesn't Welkin also say some hilariously stupid word like "Beetletastic" at some point.

I think we'd better hold off on the "oh they need to include <x> scene from the game" posts. The ones so far have been pretty mild and innocuous, but sooner or later some jerk is going to post something that I definitely don't want to know. As I said before, this thread should be free of game spoilers. I'd ask everyone to start reporting posts that contain spoilers (and don't reply) so they can be deleted. This is an anime thread, not a "game fans community thread", even though I totally understand and appreciate that many of the people anticipating the anime are game fans. Let's try to achieve a good balance.

That brings me to another point... when the anime airs, how do we handle the inevitable discussions on the difference between the anime and the game? I mean, just by debating the differences we'd be spoiling the game.

This is why we should keep our fingers crossed and hope it gets it's own sub-forum, otherwise we're not going to be able to do that.

I think there's a pretty good chance, not often you have 10 pages for a thread in the unaired forum, is it?

How about in the VC group?

I created it with the anime and the game in mind. So we could have all the necessary discussions there?

I second this, though if we do get our own forum I'd like it to be there... I'd certainly participate in those discussions in the group .

I've not been here long. How is it determined what anime gets a subforum?
