I dunno if I'd technically call stein a "Good guy" after the things he's done to maka's poor father...

He is stupid OP though...Especially if soul size is a good indicator of power geeeez.

Perfect episode, the more I watch more I like Soul Eater.

Not that this is a bad series by any means, but i am a little dissapointed by the last two episode. I had the idea this would be a darker show but it went to some light hearted stuff after the 3 episode intro.

I didnt touch the manga so i got the impression by watching the 1st episdoe. Guess i'm way off on my summation.

Toilet paper scene = win since I love that he now assumes his life will be horrible since he forgot to do it, (another classic OCD symptom).

Interesting that Black Star can also implify his soul without the use of Tsubaki, I wouldnt have expected that from a student but seeing as its Black Star, its not suprising.

I'm not sure he's amplifying anything. He just has a big soul. (So his boasting isn't entirely baseless?)

And he's already used a soul attack against Mifune.

Honestly, I didn't think the budget for this episode was any less than normal. It seemed just as crisp, with great artwork all around and awesome musical choices.

Wow Kid is so unreliable sometimes TOILET PAPER are you kidding me! but i must admit i was laughing my ass off. Stein was a beast which was to be expected but i for one was pretty shocked that it was all a test i mean i knew there something behind it. The Reaper would not send these students out without the proper training to take on a master. Maka seems to have gotten her spirit back and managed to get her soul synchronized with Soul too bad in the end Stein blocked it but damn did they show their potential. I was even impressed by the one move Blackstar managed to pull off before he went down pretty impressive.

Poor Deathscythe looks like his divorce is going to be final soon i kind of feel bad for till i see where hes seeking comfort from LOL. Not a bad episode amusing with some pretty good action no difference in the late night version from what i saw

Actually, I wonder how Maka and Soul compare to other students. They're useless without each other, and their Witchhunter is unreliable, and what do they have besides that? They had to resort to trickery against Blair, Black Star and Tsubaki did most of the work on Sid.

Not just the two other "hero teams", I wonder how they compare to the average Shibusen students...

Have you forgot that before this show started, they collected 99 souls? That's a huge factor that we must keep in mind.

You have to assume they're pretty good because they WERE able to get up to 99 souls in the prologue.

The anime cut it out, but before class started in ep 4, a girl was saying she had 12 souls.
