That explanation the Goblin Slayer gave... At some points I feels as if he's talking about the backstory of a anti-hero/villain from a shouted series instead of a goblin...

Also for GS to both have enough money to rent a high quality place - per the uncle words - AND keep enough gears hen consider the paltry reward the old man from the village payed... The numbers of goblins related incidents are probably insane if one actually bother to check. I mean receptionist girl said that there are already 3 goblin extermination quests yet it's pretty early in the morning...

Truth be told, the way the goblins are numerous actually reminds me of Record of Agarest War. About the statements being made were that goblins and orcs are large/huge in number, and if actually made (or force) to work together, they can be a threat.

Wow, apparently GS is only popular among the guild receptionists, and was hated among the silver rank adventurers. And his story was so edgy. Truly fitting the anti-hero/villain story instead of a protagonist.

From what GS had said about Goblin's progression, it won't be surprised if there is Goblin God, Green Goblin, and Super Goblin running an evil organization now at somewhere else.

Just finished both chapers 2 and 3.

Well I wont say too much as much has been covered already. but the one thing that stood out was I loved how he was eating and drinking through his helmet. What a boss ^_^ I think I'll really like this guy. He fights with a sense of intelligence and tactics too. He prevents getting into a situation where he gets surrounded, since hes been solo. Him making reference to goblins might not be smart, but they are not fools was spot on too ^_~. Personally when I seen them talk about the totems, from my gaming experience, I knew they were about to run into a nest ^_^ Goblin slayer was spot on.

Tho whats with the check out clerk, she asked a silly question and he gave the turth to her bluntly. Then she got all aggressive over it. Well it did suggest she maybe likes him. Even tho she hasn't even seen his face I take it O_o

One thing it never told or explained, is how the girl partied up with goblin slayer right afterwards. It was nice to hear the healer girl give us some views what happens to newbie adventures after a shocking defeat and about she herself had decided to keep at adventuring. It didnt really say if she asked if she could join him, or if he wanted a healer. Nothing indicated why him as a solo player decide to take on a party member. I kinda wish it showed us a little how that came to be. Thats an important part after all.

And final note. Woah higher tier Adventures are really the assholes. All of them complaining and ridiculing about Goblin slayers poor equipment and his rank being the same is an embarrassment. How does that make him any less hey?. I guess theres a "status" in this world for fame. Weirdly enough the wizard girl didnt end up saying anything, wonder if she will play a role later into the story. When Goblin slayer saves their asses ? Well one thing was made clear, he fights to prevent tragedies, and they all fight for fame and bragging rights.

What I could take from chapter 3, was goblin "population" is on the rise. So you would think something big is going on huh. or..... Winter is coming ^_~

Well, GS didn't do it for fame but for his personal vendetta against goblins.

The silver ranking was just a secondary effect of his achievements.

Yeah, I understood he had a vendetta against them since they raped and killed his sister/village. But the way he talked, it seemed he also wanted to prevent tragedies. When reviewing the 2 goblin quests, he mentioned one was too late, but would still have to be cleaned up to prevent it getting worse. And the other was still in a stage that they can prevent it. The way he addressed it like that, made me come to the conclusion hes honestly trying to preventing tragedies. 2 birds with one stone really. If it was only about killing goblins, he'd let them grow, then get to kill more. But hes very adamant in prevention. Like when that childhood friend complemented how good it is hes got work, and he snap no it isnt.

On another note, for a while it seemed like the childhood friend didnt know it was him.. That would of been really cool if he had been protecting her without her knowing. But that last page suggested they know. So kind of a let down. And that old fart was like, stay away from him, hes insane.. I bet he wont be saying that same thing when a goblins tearing him limb from limb hey? How ignorant civilians are right?.

Looking at the numerous WN/LN/manga, wasn't the criticisms he (GS)received the regular/typical critisim that happens on a regular basis? Whether the adventurers have good intentions or bad intentions, isn't that basically why they join a guild (not saying it's the only reason, but probably one of the top reasons)?
