I admit that the show still has some stuffs left hanging but I seriously thought that this IP will no longer get any anime again. So, color me surprised. One side of me is happy that we'll get (hopefully) more handdrawn mechas in anime. But the other side of me is dreading the possibility of more Kyoukai Senki anime. Those Sunrise 2D-mecha animators need their rest. Their oldschool talent shouldn't be wasted further on Kyoukai Senki

(unless the mecha animation will be done by fresh talents or trainees).

And Kimura still writing the story which means something bad is coming (unless they replace him).

Technically, yes. But to be honest, I think a new thread would be a waste of resources for short (6-episode?) OVAs of such underwhelming show.
