It was definately extreme, but look at how quickly she put her shoulder and arm back together. Moka got in the way before Akuha could go any further.

You might be right, even I'll admit it's 50/50, I'm not convinced one way or another; but Akuha didn't actually hit her heart, or brain, and Akasha is obviously beyond what Akuha expected, even when she's not trying. If her healing is that potent why COULDN'T she put herself back together?
Tsukune himself has taken attacks that should have sliced him apart, even when he was much weaker, and yet he's still moving (although admittedly nowhere near this bad), and Akasha's abilities are still relatively unknown, beyond the fact they're something else.

As the saying goes, that all seemed a little too easy. The artwork gives the impression that as Alucard awakens Akasha has already begun to move again, despite being cut in 2 only moments earlier, perhaps I've got the wrong idea from that panel, but Ikeda seems to have gone to a lot of trouble to draw a panel in which makes it looks like her hand moves, when he's didn't need to.

Isn't the defeated adversary, not being quite so defeated as you expected almost a trope after all, and the hand being the first thing to move almost the sub/pre-trope.

Until its confirmed one way or another, I don't think we've got the proof to completely count her out.

It happens, complications in childbirth etc, there may be nothing particularly sinister/important there; whether the Shinso aspect was passed by bloodline or by some sort of blood transfusion doesn't really matter in the scheme of things either; and the fact that Moka hasn't weakened considerably after passing some of her blood to Tsukune also suggests that if Moka did recieve the Shinso traits by recieving blood, then that doesn't rob the previous owner of the abilities either [Hell, Akasha's healing capability would also pretty much confirm that, that was NOT normal vampiric regeneration along the lines of what we've seen previously].

Even Tsukune's Regenerative abilites are much faster than Moka's which would be an obvious trait of the Shinso blood in him.

Well, you would think that she would heal, get married, mate then give birth, so i agree with the "complications in childbirth" idea, but i dont think it would be Alucard's doing, that would just be unpleasent.

Thats my question as well. My first thought was that Akasha's natural powers may have been a burden on the child. Maybe thats why a lot of older more powerful vampires dont have children. Look how rare Moka is in the school there are no other vampires. So that was my guess but its probably more complicated than that. Then theres the question of how Moka's life was saved. Akasha said that was the first time she ever prayed to god. A line i consider important given who and what she is.

I can only think of 2 reasons why our very powerful friend would start moving from below.

1. If Akasha indeed passed her powers on to Moka with that outburst and (one hell of a kick) it could have been enough energy out there to wake the creature up. Which would explain one of the reasons why Akasha was holding back besides being way too nice.

2.When Akasha was cut in half her blood or maybe her release of energy stirred the creature.

Im guessing right now but this by far has been one of the best chapters enough to make me start posting again.

Well, 1 of the pics in the chapter, showed nothing but her hand, so thats an indication that shes ok, more or less.

The SFX on pg 34 next to Akasha's hand is just "go go go go", and on the next page it just looks like "zu-zun"

Although I really don't think Akasha's hand was moving there. It looks like she was reaching sure, but I think it's overly optimistic to say she moved it.

Actually, it's still possible.

Why? Assuming as powerful as she is in the present that she still doesn't have the Shinso blood within her and THEN knowing that Tsukune got injected those blood into him via Moka.

Now she'll be after the "blood" of Tsukune. And suppose she can't beat them, then why not join them. Literally I mean. Like the transfer of "mana".

Personally. I don't think Akasha is dead yet because Akuha probably was holding back on that attack, especially since Moka was there

Not dead until we see the body and the funeral. And even then, in this kind of manga, you never know

Wow ... I couldn't post for a while ... and already this many posts have appeared ... though it's probably something to expect, once a new chapter appears.

Well, my impressions about this chapter aren't different ... too much from the time when we read the spoiler's, but there are a few things that caught my attention

Spoiler for Chapter 32 - my impressions:

1.)I kind of wonder, if there is some kind of blocking technique to Akuha's attacks ... since I believe that, the current Akuha might be even more adapted in using this particular technique ... and I'm almost certain that she will be faster as well ... so unless Tsukune and Moka find some kind of counter to Akuha's technique ... they would be in a little pinch against Akuha.

2.) I think that Akasha was defeated partially, because she was too kind, and after being together with Akuha for one year, she started treating Akuha as her own daugther (I think it's pretty obvious from the dialog in chapter 32 ), but that wasn't everything that lead to Akasha's defeat.

The second reason why Akasha was defeated was probably, because the place where the fight was taking place at ... was Alucard's "burial" place (I will talk about this ... in more detail later)

I also believe that Akasha has still a chance to survive from this ... since there is nothing that explicitly says that she died ... though will probably know more about that ... once the next chapter is going to be released.

3.) Moka being a Shinso vampire is pretty obvious and the reason why Moka is a Shinso, because if Akasha didn't inject her blood ("prayed to god" by Akasha's words ) into Moka, she would die shortly after the time she was born.

I also don't believe that Akasha injecting her blood into Moka ... made her stop being a Shinso vampire ... she was probably very weakened from that as well as giving birth to Moka, but I really doubt that she would need ten year's to recover from that. I mean it's pretty obvious if you look at the regenrative abilities that Akasha has displayed in this chapter, no matter how strong he is ... a "normal" vampire, right ?

Judging from what happened in the last few pages of chapter 32 ... where after Moka released the full extent of her power's ... Alucard started to awaken, I think that the reason why Akasha didn't go all out, was because with her and Moka having Shinso blood, there obviously is a connection between them and Alucard, who is the oldest vampire and a Shinso as well (Rosario + Vampire II, chapter 31,page 21-22), means that he is the ancestor of the vampire race ... and all of the Shinso vampires that have appeared after him ... have a portion of his own blood in their veins, so while I don't know the exact mechanics of that, but judging from chapter 32, it's pretty obvious that Alucard can use that to revive himself.

I must say that this time it was a pretty eventful chapter ... though I hope that in the next chapter the flashback to Moka's childhood will end ... and we can finally move on to the actual plot of this arc.

Rule of anime/manga: unless you see an actual corpse, the character isn't dead... she may be in half, but she's not been shown to be a corpse just yet

and damn... all these badass fights that I keep hearing about (I haven't actually read any of the scanlations for a while)... well, I'm holding off until we see Tsukune in one of said type of fights...
