They gave Vampire Knight its own sub-forum. Only thing missing are character threads for each Zero and Kaname (and maybe Yuki). I know that fangirls (and not fanboys, right?) are just itching to talk about Zero and Kaname (separately though).

Nope I said that Favourite Character polls would come after 12-13 episodes. Character discussion threads will most likely be created soon.

Wowm the manga just came out last year in our country, and now it is an anime? That was really quick. I already enjoyed Merupuri, but maybe I'll take a liking of this one as well.

Wow episode 3......was so awesome. i've never read the manga but this makes me want too.
seems there are alot of yuuki haters? personally I think she's very pretty and fits the role perfectly. and her manga style (how she's drawn in the manga) is amazing. and matches rather well with her anime one

I'm finding myself more attracted to Kaname's anime version than the manga one while the reverse is true for Zero (I like his manga version more).

Well today I was kind of becoming intrigued with this series....so I watched the first episode read up to chapter 22.
I guess I will follow the anime, it's a really nice adaption, the anime's character designer was great amazing at adpating the original.
I'm very excited for seeing

Spoiler for major plot elements:

Shizuka and Ichiru animated. I find them to be the most interesting characters..... Ichiru and Shizuka's revealed relationship is interesting in that they ignore their ages, they just connect with their feelings.

Kaname seems pretty crazy now. I think now he's capable of anything.

Overall my impression on the series

Spoiler for impressions and spoilers up to chapter 22:

It can be a bit boring at times. Or maybe I haven't read enough Shoujo (but I don't disliked shoujo....it's fun). The flashbacks have been interesting bu the series is best for me when it has it's revelations

Zero and Yuki's relationship seems to have alot of the same moments, but I do admit that the pacing of their relationship's development does make some sense.


I don't think that the series focuses enough on the Night Class. We focus on:
-Kaname. Fine
-Aidou. Fine
and that's it....we get two pages devoted to Ruka and then the other characters just have cameos.

And is it just me but isn't Zero a bit wierd of a name choice for a Japanese person? I was interested in what his brother wold be named (another number or something) and it turned out to be quite a difference....Ok the parents need to get sorted out
"What should we name our children honey?"
'How about "ZERO".....and Ichiru?"

Aidou being voiced by Jun Fukuyama is just awesome. I wonder if the director was reading the manga and said: "Oh there's the character Fukuyama can voice".

Because Zero's seiyu is the same as Setsuna's from Gundam 00. That gives Zero 1000 points of fun out of hilarity and awesomeness.

Spoiler for Other feelings (chapter 18-20 spoilers):

Random: When Yuki has a vampire ready to suck her blood it feels just abit oddly sexual in the whole "woman is vulnerable to a man" way.

But when Kaname was behind Shizuka (in chapter 18-20) it felt very oddly sexual in that way. and I can't figure out why. Either Shizuka is more beautiful than Yuki, or Shizuka was getting her heart ripped out at the time, or something else....
