There is no best in an anime. Most people have thier tastes. Some people even watch Bobobobobobbo or whatever it is(doesnt bother me that anime isnt really my type). But a good anime I loved and still stress people to watch is Shingetsutan Tsukihime. I got my reasons for that. Quite late right now too(dont wanna type much). But most will agree its very good.
Retro or new age? You mean technological? Battle Programmer Shirase? haahah! You just switched my computer geek mode on. But still too lazy to type. Have to find out yourself. |

Hm. In terms of personal liking, there are many. I have an odd fetish for anything Slayers-related, Rayearth (never got to watch it), Onegai Teacher/Twins, Ah! Megami-sama, Love Hina, Shingetsutan Tsukihime, etc.
In terms of what I thought was great anime, applying cold, objective standards? Shingetsutan Tsukihime, hands down. It's just too perfect. Music, animation, character development ... other than that, Serial Experiments Lain, Millennium Actress come to mind. (No, "hands down" is not meant as the title of some anime series.) Oh, and I only watch subtitled anime with original Japanese sound, even if I don't know Japanese. I can't stand dubs. |

The best EVER is SAINT SEIYA! PERIOD! sorry for the capitals... but honestly there is no best anime, everyone has his own favorite, even pokemon is the best for someone ( for me is just the second, seriously! im the only one here who likes pokemon?)

I had to go all the way to page 4 of this forum before I didn't see at least one thread that rang of 'favourite anime'. Do people just wait until the last 'favourite anime' thread drops off the first page and then start up their own?
At least this thread got some early posts that had some thought to them, mainly that there is no 'best' because everyone has different tastest. One man's garbage is another man's treasure and all that. I still think it's a shame that the only one of these threads that had any merit to it (a thread asking WHY you like the anime you do, and why you dislike other anime, rather than just posting 'This anime rocks!' or 'This anime sucks!' over and over for about a dozen pages) didn't last long at all, while threads like this pop up all the time, even if there's an identical thread still on the main page. |

every one has their on opinion of whats the best, i ask whats the coolest anime best is different from cool, at least for me cool is different from best, ghost in the shell is cool, gundam is cool, flame of recca is cool, but still it's not the best for me...gets?
